I had 2 jammed pumps due to bad fuel I think. The fuel had gone all waxy been left too long unused. But I put them in the air fryer at the lowest setting 80c for 15 mins and it must have melted the wax or something and the both came back to life. There was thick brown gooey stuff in the bottom of the fuel tank.

I know this is dated but anyhow those rubber fittings/hose they come apart in tiny pieces and that is what jams up the pumps i use neon green fuel line not what comes with the heaters... I haven't had to buy another pump just make sure you use a fuel filter before the pump

I don't know how others treat there equipment but my heater and auxiliary parts have never let me down in 4 years, I done a ton of research before buying a cdh and it has paid off

Those pumps must have cheap contacts in them? I ordered an extra with my heater so I have a backup. I should've just ordered two complete heaters so I have an extra for parts!

Excellent, excellent, excellent video. I am struggling to figure out, why my fuel pump pushes 50% air, 50% fuel, and this video finally gives me a clear way to test to see, if my fuel pump is the problem, or mye fuel line connections have an air leak. Thanks a million to make this video.

De pompjes met filter ( te demonteren) die je schoon kunt maken zijn stiller en werken beter. (Bang Good)

Only use diesel, lower ignite. 🧡. 🇬🇧. Ps. Just in case someone thinks it’s a good idea to use petrol. 🥴

The pumps are supposed to be at a 30° angle to 45° angle to let air escape the pump

Try mounting the pumps in a vertical position, so the pump body is always full of diesel for complete lubrication.
@bellofiore894 Жыл бұрын
Wrong ! The pump must be installed at 30 /45 degrees and NEVER in VERTICAL !!!! Read the manual.....

@@bellofiore89430/45 has been copied directly from the Eberspacher manual, the original product whose CDHs are a copy of. Eberspachers had a small collection space just in front of the actual suction area of the fuel pump. The 30/45 degree angle ensured any contaminants would collect in that space and not move suspended in the fuel (as the angle of 30/45 kept the air pocket in that collection area) It's actually ideal to mount the pump vertically so that it pushes out all the air and keeps the piston lubricated with fuel. Just add a filter upstream of suction for added protection

Thank you it worked perfectly. I just did it right on the unit itself and got it working

This type of pump is basically not reliable because the inner body is in two pieces and when they go out of alignment trouble starts. The 24V trick will temporarily fix the problem, but eventually the pump will block again. Better throw it away and buy better quality kit!

Wow what a fantastic easy to do video, I have 4 pumps that I have had to replace over the past year so if it works for me I’ll be so very happy, at £15 a pop sometimes works out to expensive to run! Having said that I have been using heating oil with a little sea foam for extra lubrication.

I live in a northern climate on the shores of lake Huron, when it is really cold "now" my fuel mix is 60-40 diesel and kerosene. My heater runs everyday for at least 12 hours per day. Kerosene burns hotter and keeps the combustion chamber clean.

Do you have an "add blue"-urea based fixative in USA? Or do you living in the area of the Lake Urea?😊
