There is not just the overheating issue. Cats also have antennas on their feet/paws(small wiskars). These help the cat detect vibrations coming and are part of the cat alert sensory system. And that is why cats does not like being cuddled over with blankets etc They need to stay alert in order to relax and sleep

I love how cats always play it cool. She’s interested in that bed but doesn’t want to act too eager. She has to give herself a bath first. So cute and funny!

It was the neck curling in for a long winter’s night sleep knowing that human momma was right below her 🥰cats love heat warmth so having her up there was perfect 🥰My cats have beds and little pillows and their favorite toys in place oh and who finds little toys tucked in their shoes 😻 their furever leaving a toy in my shoe

As a dog person I have spent a lot of time with cats. A jolly decent mob who get along famously with dogs. We could and have been educated by them, some to PhD level ha-ha. 😛😎😻👍
