There wasn't one for this flight but I printed a gopro mound and would screw it into the nose piece wood when I used it. I've moved-on to using the DJI air unit on a pan/tilt and then went with an O3 system. No need for gopro at this point.

thanks. Yeah it was hard when I first started out. Now I pretty much know where the quad is when landing but I agree, the visibility sucks when the camera is angled up aggressively.

Sweet! I had the goku f745 in mine originally but i somehow fried it so was forced to go with something else. I’m in the process of retuning mine since i upgraded the firmware for the escs to bluejay.

This was my first arducopter build so I had some adjustment coming from arduplane. Besides the physical size challenges with everything, the tuning was pretty straightforward. I started with defaults and had to adjust the pids to get some oscillation out. Only took 1 adjustment to get it stable enough to get an autotune. I did each axis individually so that took some time. I do still have one issue where when i go above 70% throttle, it will pitch forward and yaw left for some reason. I am thinking it is noise from the battery lead being near the GPS at the rear. I may have to relocate either the battery lead to the front or put the GPS on post, elevated away from everything. Otherwise, regular cruising it flies great.

@@NoFlyDrone Thanks you for the reply. Good to know tuning is straightforward. GPS (compass) should not cause a yaw issue. My guess is the yaw tendency would be gyro related (on FC), and perhaps related to mechanical vibration, not electrical noise. Since F405 has blackbox option, it should be possible to record sensor data to see how throttle and heading correlates to sensor values.

@@AerialWaviator You may be right. I worked on it over the weekend but didn't do any real flights, just hover in the garage. I flashed BlueJay firmware to the ESCs since they are Blheli_S. Now I have bidirectional DShot and telemetry being logged. I am going to do some test flights and look at the data. I suspect it is something related to motor rpm that is throwing things off. I just needed to be able to capture the esc telemetry data to really hone in on it. This FC only has 4MB reserved for logging but that is enough for a test flight.

I think I may have to mess around with airport 🤔

@@NoFlyDrone thanks. I'll give them a try then. APCs were quite hard to balance, graupner e-props were much better.

@@DJI_Silesia yeah apc and the oem finwing props are not balanced that well. Only thing is the graupner have less flex so set your esc brake or you’ll snap a prop sometimes when landing.

I redesigned the pan/tilt and canopy that i used with the dji air unit to work with the O3. Yes, any platform that uses mavlink can work with 4g.

It's the standard DJI O3 camera. The rocksteady stabilization is pretty good.

Ah. I guess you said that in the title. I have never really looked at one before and saw that it was squarer than most. I have heard and read about them but wasn’t ready for digital until recently, so I have paid very little attention. I know very little about DJI.

@@nighthawkvs I’m pretty happy with the quality. The original air units and the vistas are still good and rootable (FPV.WTF). Some really cool things you can do with that. Th O3 not rootable yet but you can get msp info into the goggles without root.

Most of that went right over my head. Lol I have heard about those units, but I have just not buckled down to understand it all yet. Last weekend when I flew with friends one had an 03 unit on his quad. I think he said it did the video and another function, but I did not pursue it further. Yet!

High? I was below 400ft the whole time. Probably 300ft. This plane isn't 4G. My other albabird has 4g. This was simply a test flight since I swapped out the DJI air unit for the O3 system. I had to redesign several parts to fit the O3. Just testing the pan/tilt here. Also, even with 4G I dont fly lower than 200ft just because of latency should something go wrong, I have some time to react.

The Gstreamer library is used with UAVCast. I stream 720x480 @15fps 1mbit bitrate. This is a good balance of quality and framerate for me. That’s crazy bandwidth you have available. Keep in mind you will be limited by the cat 4 lte modem bandwidth which is 50mbit upstream. Still that is awesome. I am usually getting 8-10mbit and it can vary greatly depending on the areas flown. You can just play with the settings and find what works best for your situation.

I had the same setup with the OG fpv air unit and it works really well. I kinda rigged it real quick to test but have already redesigned parts to make it work better. The rocksteady stabilization is really nice. I didn’t play with camera settings and it was pretty dark already so the video is grainy. I’m still using the goggle v2, haven’t upgraded the googles. One thing i miss is having the fpvwtf osd telemetry file so i can overlay on the video.

Thank you. Yes they are both rotating in the same direction. Hard to find CW/CCW 11x7 props.

I’m not as happy with the cyt2 I had it 4 2 months now.. I paid near 4k for it .. the range is horrible 12 miles up n back n I’m like 40% left! The bike is ok 4 work commute when it can charge in between travels but outside of fast commutes n work it’s overpriced imo at least what I paid .. it’s cheaper rn tho. But for 4k I shouldn’t have to upgrade anything.. the suspension is bad front n rear , the throttle sucks , the turn signal also sucks, ur don’t come with mirrors,or rack , the rack is small and basically useless, the tires aren’t good too, the seat is about the only premium thing on the bike. Imo the cost shouldn’t be more than 2500-3000k it’s best just to save up a lil more if so n get a better e bike 6-7k range.. there are a lot of good bikes in this range

@@obeii1805 Yeah with their $4,000 price felt a bit steep for me. Me pulling the trigger on it for $3,000 feels like an okay deal to me. Have you thought about upgrading the battery? It’s compatible with the stock controller. I agree with you about it should having those accessories and better suspension. Not a lot of 60v e-bikes around $3,000 except the RoadRunner Pro but I don’t do 1st Gen.

@@obeii1805 I do have a lot more knowledge now than I did a month ago. The Wired Freedom and not released Lyric Cycle Graffiti X are 60v e-bikes I would consider.

@@wilfredpapaya4739 I had the lyric ghost on preorder since march, they been lying about releasing date .. saying due dates on the bike for newer buyers when ppl like I didn’t get ours yet.. they keep giving emails of excuses.. now they say q4 on the site for new orders. … therefore I wouldn’t get the x until there is videos of ppl having them first . Oh let’s me not forget they also try to encourage us to get the graffiti in exchange too.. like if I wanted the graffiti I would had ordered it. another preorder told me to get a refund b4 they go bankrupt doing a 180 view shift.. after he found out that lyric hadn’t even begun to build the bikes!!.. he said quotation! They hadn’t even build the frames .. and lyric offered us a refund a few weeks back , I didn’t get it smh I’m hoping they get it together cus I want the bike , I hadn’t see anything else better yet

@@wilfredpapaya4739 it’s ok but I feel onyx could had done better .. ppl out here are making solid homemade bikes that are going faster for less of the cost . Ppl are building batteries n going 60 mph plus..etc .. it’s sad that someone has a less expensive bike but ca/ go faster than me ! I see it all the time on KZbin…cus tbh it’s cheap to make e bikes that’s why it’s so many cheap options .. 1000w especially. But they could had gave us more quality for the price , a better battery etc for the price one can get a solid motorcycle even a Honda grom is better and it cost the same as the cty2
