This is just inspired!-i am a long-term Duranie who has been listening to this song since i was a youngster+the fact that you have set this song as a soundtrack to the genius that is "Bladerunner"-it really works+i am sure the band themselves+the team behind the film would approve too!-thanks for sharing!😀👍👏🚘🎞️🎥🎬📽️

My bestie since our middle school years, Mr. William M. Hewson. (We both turn 48 this year) -His uncle, ~Mr. Nelson Lyon (Feb 28th-July 17th, 2012) earlier in his career, Nelson was a skit writer for Lorne Michael's & the 1st gen/original cast of 'SNL/Saturday Night Live'.... -Nelson also produced this very spoken-word record: 'Dead City Radio' masterpiece for William S. Burroughs... -I still remember Nelson giving Will & I our own audio-cassette copies of D.C.R in 1990!... -Nelson certainly had some amazingly HILARIOUS, and some rather SAD stories about his time working within SNL & yet still later during his subsequent Hollywood career, where he'd met, courted & married Wills auntie, Ms. Angie Brown (Shes got an acting role in the CAMPY AF 1981 horror/slasher film: 'Dont Go In The Woods'...HA! Ive got a VHS copy to this day!) -Nelson happened to be one of the LAST PEOPLE on March 5th, 1982 to see John Belushi ALIVE, as Nelson was out carousing with friend & comedian Robin Williams, they'd decided to had drop by the Chateau Marmot detached/apartment bungalows for a visit with Belushi & to invite him out for a night on the town/bar-crawl, as the story go's, actor Robert De Niro was also there speaking with Belushi to get him outtve that depressing scene & go out for drinks or dinner. as well. as Belushi was VERY isolated @ that time... They'd all shared a few lines of 'La Coka' from the immense pile of it resting on the coffee table, but ALL visitors present were thoroughly REVOLTED by the scene & the extremely DARK ENERGY, Belushis present consort, who was there with him & chief drug supplier, Cathy Smith had emitted by her very nature. Nelson had said the feeling of creeping darkness, or impending DOOM was PALPABLE & instigated a >>FLEE>> response with him & Robin Williams, which they both heavily regretted afterwards (IE: 'I Coulda, Shoulda, Wouldve' type of feelings inspired by grief, or misplaced, but all too human guilt after such an incident occurs) (Cathy was also the well known Canadian musician, Gordon Lightfoot's, on again, off-again, Girl Friend & tour-bus/van driver, or tour manager for a duration of time during his early career, a few of his songs dedicated/written about her as a result)

What could be more of a treat than listening to the writer of The Chauffeur analysing it? Never heard Simon discuss it before. Forty years later, I see it in a completely different light. Unrequited love indeed.

Are you actually saying that the Vangelis song used in the 1979 ad is not the best music? That is the greatest commercial of all time and the music is beautiful.
@djfurlong14 жыл бұрын
Hello - Actually, that’s not quite what I meant. I love Vangelis and Ridley Scott, but think that Louis Armstrong music COULD work almost as well.

Close contact with director Akira Kurosawa! The camera time slipped in July 1984 at the shooting site of the movie "Ran". You can meet a master who gives gentle and polite acting guidance to actors who do not scold other than the assistant director.

This is ok, but I love the original so much it's hard to connect. It's so much about gratitude and respect in the original music. Glass is pretty, though.

Anyone who observes the procession was doomed. That's why his mother would not allow him in the home but sent him away to possibly escape his fate. I prefer the original music. This is too westernized.
