unfortunately...this calculation is not entirely correct. Snow loads are calculated for the projected horizontal of the gable roof. You need to convert it from horizontal loads to perpendicular loads for the compression member in the top.

Thank you Dr. Yari, a very good video. May be it is obvious but I don't see it. Is there a reason that we divide 4.6 by 2 and placed the center line halfway between the resultant force and the second wheel from the front?
@nasseryariphdpe6484 ай бұрын
Hi Nader, Thank you, very good question. In a simply supported beam subjected to a series of moving concentrated loads, the maximum bending moment develops under a load when the midspan of the beam is located halfway between the load and the resultant of all the loads on the beam. And keep in mind that the absolute maximum bending moment usually occurs under the load closest to the resultant, provided that it is of equal or larger magnitude than the next adjacent load. Otherwise, the maximum bending moments should be computed for the two loads adjacent to the resultant and compared to obtain the absolute maximum bending moment.

For the second question, the format you type for convert to a number have to be the same as the format in the start date and end date, it might be 1/Jan/1900 or 1/1/1900

Thank you for sharing. How do I calculate lateral pressure for SCC?
@nasseryariphdpe6486 ай бұрын
The lateral pressure of self-compacting concrete (SCC) it depends on the amount of pressure it exerts laterally when fresh. The design of formwork is governed by this pressure. For slump greater than 2.5 inch p= (3.28+0.26Rt)Wc>=630<=Phydrostatic

@@nasseryariphdpe648 thank you for the reply. I’m preparing to build forms for an 8’H x 40’L x 10”W garden / privacy wall. Before I do, however, I need to figure out how much scc lateral pressure is / will be. Perhaps I need to just consult a structural engineer. Thanks again! Be well
