@KnightProduction-ug9if I had a feeling it was gonna be butchered. This by far has got to be the WORST DECISION that the owners of IPC Shopping Mall have ever made to IKEA and it didn't even improve it!!! Let's just hope the other Mitsubishi elevators remaining don't get butchered any further

@@DryThronesSquad2001Take it from me, of whom these were literally my *gateway* Mitsubishi elevators - they’re the first Mitsubishis I ever remember riding, and they’re the reason why Mitsubishi is my #1 favourite elevator company in the first place. They hold a very special place in my heart. That said, think about the condition and use cases these 3 large elevators were subject to. Not only were they hydraulic, but they were also under such heavy use every day that it must’ve worn down the motor very quickly. Also, these lifts took _20 seconds_ on average just to travel _ONE floor,_ which is horrible for people flow, I must say. I distinctly remember as a kid having to squeeze through the horde of people waiting for the lifts just to press the button which was probably already lit. Now, compare that with these new KONEs. These lifts are MRL, are many times faster than the old lifts, and the EcoDisc motor just runs better in general. They’re a much better environment to be in, mainly because you’re no longer squeezed in with a large group of people for a long period of time. I’m very sad to see the Mitsubishis go too, but at the end of the day, it’s not about us - it’s about the people who rely on those elevators to shop at IKEA. The bottom line? Don’t be too blinded by nostalgia that you forget the practicality of modernisations and replacements. *This upgrade IS warranted.*
@DryThronesSquad2001Ай бұрын
@t3224.elevators_nz fair enough. That being said, it makes sense why the change had to happen, especially if it was going to get worn out soon. And speed is definitely key to this aspect which I agree on. Slow elevators are just not the thing we want, especially when it gets crowded. But yes, at the end all about improvements with the new and better speed and experience
