The video is of Mar Del Plata. Around a 5 hour drive from Palermo Buenos Aires. You can also get there by train although tickets are hard to come by in the summer. "There are no beaches near Buenos Aires, the city, since it lays along the River Plate which is the widest river in the world. To see a real seaside beach you must travel at least 350 km to the south. In San Clemente, the first seaside town, you can see the mixed waters of the River Plate and the Atlantic ocean. From this point on, you'll only see the sea. All the beaches are on the coast of the Buenos Aires province. There are some in Patagonia, but they're too cold and not sandy. You can get there in a few hours by bus from Retiro station. Buses are modern and very comfortable. Where to go? All depends of what you are looking for. You have a large, beautiful city such as Mar Del Plata, which is the main beach destination in Argentina. But it's a big city, with its own life all year round. There you'll find kilometers of urban beaches, beautiful buildings, and everything you would expect from a large city by the sea. It's always been a popular destination for argentines, but in recent years it has lost attraction because it gets too crowded (in addition to its own population). Many people favor other options, less crowded and with more nature. However, if you are not in high season and you want to enjoy a nice city by the sea, it's a good option. There are contrasts between newer posh seaside resorts and older, poorer towns. In summer, the most popular destinations for the middle and upper-middle class are a strip of towns near Pinamar. They are Pinamar itself, Ostende, Valeria Del Mar and Carilo. All these offer a good mix of beach and woods along with commercial centers f or shopping and fun. Of all these, Carilo is the newer and most up scale. Near Villa Gessell, there's another new place called Mar de las Pampas (and some nearby locations such as Las Gaviotas and Mar Azul), where you can find a lot of rental homes and hostels scattered within a beautiful wood by the sea. Usually, posh resorts mix beach and artificial woods (they were created by the hand of man, since they don't grow naturally in these areas). Closer to Buenos Aires city, the first beaches are small traditional locations, less exploited, poorer and less attractive. The only exception amongst these closer beaches is Costa del Este, which is a rather new development. However, if you like to explore you may find something of your liking. Farther south from Mar del Plata, there are a few small cities such as Miramar (small and nice, very family oriented destination) and 50 km more, Necochea (less touristic, windy, with a large population). Another reason to visit the Obelisk in the heart of Buenos Aires. Avenida 9 De Julio Avenida 9 De Julio is the widest avenue in the world. Its name honours Argentina's Independence Day, July 9, 1816. The avenue has seven lanes in each direction plus two lanes for turning to the side streets (flanked on either side). Total 18 lanes. Thanks for watching.

Occupying a significant portion of the Río de la Plata riverbank, it is the site for several high-rise buildings and luxurious hotels, featuring the latest architectural trends. It is the barrio with by far the highest property price, surpassing the second-highest twofold.
