Are you sure the torque specs are accurate? 20 lbs on the alternator n 11 lbs on the power steering pump? Seems light. If u don’t want to remove radiator you can drain and remove lower hose and transmission cooler lines and take alternator out from bottom.

It's been some time since you posted, buuuut figured I would ask. I have a 2006, could you hook the return line to a bin of like 10 qts of ATF, and the line to the radiator to a bucket and shut the truck off right before the 10 qt's run out? Wouldn't that keep the level the same?

Hi, thank you for your question. It's been some time since I last posted, but I've been working on a complete overhaul project on the LX that I'll be sharing in a detailed series soon. I've learned a lot since the transmission flush video, especially regarding the method you're suggesting. The idea of connecting the return line to a bin of fresh ATF and the line to the radiator to a bucket, planning to shut off the truck before the fresh ATF runs out, seems like it would maintain the fluid level. However, there's a crucial aspect that prevents this method from working effectively. The transmission's fluid pump is designed to pump the old fluid out, but there's no mechanism to actively pump new fluid in. The transmission won't just suck the new fluid back because it's the pump's action that moves the fluid through the cooling system and back through the return line. Without something to force the new fluid into the transmission at the same rate the old fluid is removed, simply having a supply of new fluid isn't enough. This is where a transmission fluid exchange machine comes into play. It connects to both the supply and return lines, using either the transmission's own pump or an independent pump to ensure the new fluid is forced in at the exact rate the old fluid is expelled. This method guarantees a more efficient and complete fluid exchange than what you're proposing with the buckets. I hope that helps. Please reach out if you have any questions and thank you for watching :)

yes, the same length but lc100 is a thicker diameter shaft. The splined ends are the same size though so they are interchangeable

When I had my two kicker L7s... Still never heard anything louder. Had two MTX TR5500s (silver models broke then they sent me new black models for warranty, black ones weren't as loud but hit notes better and had almost no shitty sounding wobbly notes like subs do sometimes). Just don't get kicker comps and you'll be fine. Or MTX TR4500... My buddy had two 4500s and my 5500s sounded 10x better. Growing up most people I knew had kicker CVRs.... Or comps if they went cheap. One kid had Memphis they were ok... But when my friend blew out his back windshield with his L7s... I knew what I wanted lol

that’s honestly a really easy way to replace a starter, it looks intimidating at first but id rather do that than being under a vehicle and can only turn a bolt with a tip of 1 finger. I would replace a plunger and contacts to save money, those are wearable parts only

Hey I converted my 2001 LX470. I used the Strut Masters shocks and springs. My only concern is that the front of the truck now seems to sit lowered while the back of the truck has its normal height. Do you think I need to purchase a Land Cruiser torsion bar to make the front adjustment so it can sit leveled?
