Copy to local platform means you would ‘upload’ to the hardware (JACE)? Open in user home means save directly to your computer/ desktop?

Hi Michael, Copy to a local platform means that you have a station in your user home, you have a platform daemon running on that PC and you want to copy the station from your User Home to the Daemon Home. There are two locations that your PC will have Niagara related files. The first, is the User Home, a safe place to store user specific data and stations. This user home is specific to the user logged into the machine. For example, if we both logged into the same Windows PC that had workbench installed, we would have unique user homes. This segways into the Sys Home when is the second file space that is not unique to the user and is unique to the installation of Niagara4. This space will have daemon information to the system and is where we can run a Niagara station. To answer your question: No, a "upload," if I understand you correctly, would be copying the station from the JACE to your local PC. This assumes your PC has a higher position in the hierarchy than the JACE but in reality, they're two independent machines and one isn't necessarily subordinate to the other like a supervisor and JACE typically are. I hope this helps! Scott

No- it's been around for a number of years. I don't remember it pre-N4 but doesn't mean it wasn't there.
