J. Bhandari speaks the truth bluntly which many Indians don’t like, they like who blows trumpet of lies and greatness of India for nothing. ! The reality is until you are not good and accept that one will continue to be bad. !

Why are there not messengers that are completely serverless like syncthing, i.e. no in between server, just clients finding eachother online. Message only arrives if device in on, but truly serverless/decentralized.

If one civilisation has to forcefully civilise another, they are not being terribly civilised are they? The Spanish/Europeans should have just left the New World natives be, instead of stealing their land and post-justifying their greed as "civilising the natives".

Masks and covid...I didn't care. In the beginning of covid, gov said masks don't do you any good. They said to give your masks to the hospitals. Then after you had no masks and could not buy them...boom they demanded you wear them! Here is the mask rundown on Chinese masks vs USA made masks. Back in the '90's I worked in demolition. I would wear 3M N95 masks and Baxter surgical / procedure masks. I bought the surgical masks in bulk by the case from Henry Schein Dental Company. Surgical masks were for light demo work, N95 was for heavy demo. I eventually got out of demo in 1999. When covid hit I found a stash of old masks from the 90's I had squirreled away. I looked at the Baxter surgical masks and they were made in the USA. When I compared them to the Chinese surgical masks that were being distributed, I found a big difference. I could breathe somewhat through the Henry Schein USA made mask material if I formed a seal around my mouth. The Chinese surgical masks were not porous and I could not breathe through them. So, when I wore the Chinese surgical masks I was taking in unfiltered air from around the mask edges as opposed to getting some filtration from the USA Henry Schein masks. Plain and simple...if you can't breathe through the mask material, you are not getting any filtration from it. The 3M N95 masks were useless from deterioration after 20+ years of storage. The mask material was fine. The problem was they had glued a small strip of gray foam rubber in the area of the bridge of the nose on the mask. It had deteriorated into a sticky mess of powder that had spread all over the mask. I guess they were still usable...in an emergency. But I trashed them. The sticky mess could not be cleaned off of them. As far as...did they work with covid? Who knows. I wore masks. I figured even if they did a little, it is still better than nothing. And it reminded people to stay distanced from each other. If you are getting an operation, do you want the doctor and nurses wearing masks or breathing on you? And even if 101% worthless, masks help a person fit in as a gray man rather than standing out as a Black Rifle Coffee drinking idiot.

I hope they move off of the Google system for their subscription system. That's my -ick at the moment. The other ick is that their web extension is defaulted opt-in to anonymous usage and error reporting. With them having to rely on the Google system for the subscription service is a red flag for me honestly. They can just find what payment method was used to pay for the subscription, realizing it's through Google, and Google will easily just hand any and all information regarding the payment card and the linked google account.

You both need to listen to Dr Jack Kruse and read cross currents by Dr Robert O Becker. You will learn about electro biology the perils of EMF and the addictive nature of blue lit computer screens. This is making people compliant, docile, and controllable by the elites. AI is a front , garbage in garbage out.

One thing Jayant is wrong about is adhar card. It's mandatory. Everyone has this card. It's required for your bank account creation and for your sim card too. It's impossible to not have it. Jayant doesn't live in India anymore so he doesn't need it.

It seems to me that it makes sense to ask the authors, and more broadly the insiders, of such projects about their general worldview (philosophy). As recent events show (Telegram, X, Meta, etc.), this can be crucial in a critical situation.

15 years ago Singaporeans walked quickly beautifully dressed to work. 3 years ago they went with handysticks and watched soap operas - almost all of them. I hear about the ocbc and other banks must have been once a very kind - today they are arrogant and ignore clients. Singapore is falling. It might be because of radiation, might be the vaxxinations (many are sick there) or it is just the cycle. Singapore has been a "hope" for humankind - but they host the WEF. I prefer regions which are still somewhat "normal". A libertarian does not show his passport and surely not on a handy - people who own smartphones are slaves already. I guess the high vaxx rates came from censored info on phones (a week ago goggle lost the monopoly case - so there is a wake up in the US). We are in terrible and dangerous times and too many ignore that. Thanks!

Jayant Bhandari may know a lot about India but is out of his league when discussing issues involving China. On this aspect, he is no better than the Americans, even the so-called China expert or China hand. In the 1950s, the US did encourage Taiwan to become independent, but the idea was shot down by Chiang Kai Shek, who was a true Chinese Nationalist. What the US should do is NOT to encourage Taiwan's independence but to roll back the clock to December 31, 1978. What I mean is that the US should re-recognize the Republic of China as the legitimate government of China, including the territory recognized by the Republic of China, and de-recognize the People's Republic of China as the legitimate government of China. This arrangement will maximize the interest of the United States and the Republic of China and will win the support of the people in mainland China. If the PRC dares to challenge this arrangement, it will rapidly turn its 1.4 billion citizens against it and it knows it. It also conforms to not only the letters of the Shanghai Communique but, even better, also the spirit of the Shanghai Communique signed between Nixon and China in 1972. This arrangement will have the best chance of having a peaceful resolution because it will checkmate the PRC and there is no military solution the PRC can employ to counter this move.

Fantastic episode, please keep up the great work! I have a question/ observation: on the one hand, Seth highlights the lack of privacy around BTC. On the other hand, he encourages us to use non-KYC BTC as an on-ramp to get Monero. However, buying BTC in any manner seems like a big, red, flashing "dox me" danger sign. I would like to hear more on the presumable nuance around how one may preserve their privacy while using BTC as an XMR on-ramp. On the surface, I'm not so sure it's a good way to go; however, I respect Seth a lot, so I assume there's something I'm missing. I would really like to see Haveno pick up steam. It seems to have the most potential, but appears to be slow rolling in development. It's still not really workable for the average Joe, and there's apparently no target release date for a widespread implementation/ transaction network. Would love to see Haveno really take off.

I love listening to this guy but he’s heavy on western religious philosophy and anecdotes, but very light on history, geopolitics, and sometimes developmental economics. Maybe he should add Superimperialism, Killing Hope, Washington Bullets, In Search of Enemies, to his reading list. Just saying, we the west have done a banged up job keeping the global south down for decades through political meddling, assassination, bad economic advice and policies, debt traps and downright invasions

Hmm. I remember a first British explorer expressing surprise at first visiting India in his personal diary and letters. The cleanliness, the lack of beggars, not an unhappy soul seeming amongst them... was very surprising to him. I found the writings to be extremely compelling. The feral, venal, emotion-driven people of later years could be explained by years of manipulation and abuse that were not written about. In Africa, there were similar stories of relatively wholesome, healthy societies. The introduction of "Western" foods, lifestyle, "reasoned" governance by a controlling, profit seeking invasion of a more pastoral people may actually have causedd great harm. Diet is critical. Family, love of family and community were large parts of these pre-Western societies, possibly. Lots to research here.
