Hi Doctor! HNY! Mine was 126.6 mmol/L of sodium. Went to Emergency room due to headache and 130/90 BP. Taking Telmisartan plus HCTZ. I’m taking sodium chloride tablet 1 g twice a day and i’m on oral rehydration solution. Is it possible to be okay in a few days? I stopped the HCTZ starting today. Thanks

My dads condiiton worsened once he came off Bumetanide. What happened was my dad was on 2-3 tablets a day and also Spriolactone. The dose was doubled for spiro and made a difference to dads feet/legs. The heart nurse said his sodium levels had dropped which were about .1.31 and took him off it. Then his legs ballooned and he got water in his testicles, and massive foot blister. he got taken to hospital had IV furesimide and got it all drained way. His feet went down again and all looked good. They kept him on 120mg a day off it once he left the hospital, but the edema soon came back. They then put him on 5 tablets a day plus sprilactone. His feet were getting bigger and bigger. So a month ago he got put back on Bumetanide and his sodium levels went to 1.28. He is now in hospital as he has had metawalwork taken from his hip and now got a urine infection. His feet legs were going down again, slimmest I've seen them for ages. Maybe cos of being in bed at a certain angle. Sitting in a chair made them swell again. A few days ago they said his knees looked swollen and gave him IV furesimide. His sodium had dropped to 1.23 before that, but now back to 1.28. It's such a balancing act. His heart was functioning at 50% left ventricle and had actually got to 55% . His kidneys went as alow as 29% last dec and a month ago was at 48 %. Not sure what is going on now as he is bedridden until he gets rid of urine infection then can start physio. Hoping that if he gets more mobile his circulation might improve.

Mine was 9.4 but was told everything looked good. I was already in a wheelchair by that point. Luckily, I have trust issues and figured my results out myself and damn sure enough, hyperkalemia!! I was having seizures multiple times a day. I couldn’t stand up on my own and could not stand up straight at all! I was like a crippled old lady at 42!!!

if you remember the ankle is the lower part of your body and the arm is the upper part of you body then you can remember that you put the ankle on top and your arm below to get the index. its simple when you think about it!

If I'm low on calcium, I get very weak. For example carrying bag of groceries from one room to the next may get me exhausted. Mentally too I feel tired and sluggish. These symptoms dramatically improve if I take calcium supplements, so I'm pretty sure its calcium. I wonder why weakness is never mentioned as one of the symptoms of calcium deficiency?

Dr Andras. A question about the 6 vaccines incorporated into one please? A young child’s immune system is very underdeveloped By challenging it with so many different diseases all at once …is there not a risk that the immune system is going to respond inappropriately?? As a nurse who qualified in 1979 I have observed the steady increase of immune system dysregulation problems across the world The first was the MMR Doing the measles vaccine on its own - as they do in Japan - reduced the reports of vaccine injury and seemed to provide a better longer immunity to the child ( there have been No infections in vaccinated adults in Japan) whereas in Europe there seems to be a regular resurgence of measles in the vaccinated population! My concern is that we are challenging the immune system of young children to aggressively !
