What happened to Budda TV? When are you going to do demonstrations of the product lines and the different amps? I think the Bully, the Preceptor or even the MN series might sound good but I have no idea. I have no idea because I cannot find demonstrations of any of these amps. They do not stock these in any of the local music stores. I am not going to fly or drive somewhere like Nashville or California just to try one out. I personally am interested in the Bully but demos of all would be nice. What about the pedals? There needs to be more to let us know what we are missing if we do not have one of these great items. The famous wah should have a few different showings. Videos are a great way to give a lot of information effectively and economically. We need more!!! I will post on all of the Budda TV videos and maybe you will get my post from one of them.

Nuttin' wrong with Peavey my friend. I'd hate to think that you were some kind of snob that thinks only a $2000 amp can make you sound good. A real player can make any amp sound good. Even a Dr. Z or a Mesa.
@pgong
@pgong 8 жыл бұрын
Peavey has made changes to the original circuits in some models as well as the choices of certain components. The new Budda models that Peavey had since introduced also do not follow the original philosophy of the founders of the company. Whether this is good or bad depends on an individual's opinion, but it's definitely not the same amp company and not the same amps.

+shawn shipstad Budda is owned by Peavey but they have left them alone as far as building the amps is concerned.

shawn shipstad you are right, Budda has been bought by Peavey. I own 2 Superdrive 18 (one pre Peavey and one Serie 2 built by Peavey). They both sound very close to identical. The difference might come from the fact that one is few years older... Peavey era Budda are amazing amps. I was sceptical at beguining but now that I've done the comparison myself... I can tell that no one should bother with this whole Peavey story... Try one and buy it if you like it. Cheers!

WOW! and i said that with my tongue hangin out. i'm hearing his sound through my cheap ass desktop computer speakers and i can tell his Dean and Budda setup sounded so badass. i wish he would do some concerts around here.

I saw Leslie and Joe Satriani jam live in United Palace Theatre in Harlem, New York. Leslie's sno-white custom Budda's sounded extremely good. They made Satriani's Marshall stack seem inferior. Leslie's Dean Signature Guitar and Budda amps give him his BEST sound since his Les Paul Jr/Sunn amps days. You simply cant GET a better tone than Leslie West, Dean guitars, and Budda amps. I am convinced.

My buddy....he's never changed, in 35 years....still the same good-natured, tongue-in-cheek wailer....with a heart. They don't grow 'em like Leslie any more.

Folks, I'm telling ya'll as certain as I am alive typing this, that this stack makes Leslie sound like he did all those years ago. Leslie wants to end his career with the same amazing tone he started it with, and I think he'll end it with these amps right here and his Dean. That Dean IS a modern day Les Paul Jr, and the Budda amps remind Leslie of his Sunn days. This will be a magical period for fans of the traditional Mountain sound.

Can we get a Part 4 with Leslie really cutting loose and wailing with these amps, perhaps with a band? Anyhow, I really enjoyed this 3-parter. Great vibrato tips!
