Nice work! What are the DC ports for? Are they inputs or outputs?

The power supply just made me go "wow". And then the spool holder. And then the multimeter holder. I'm preparing for building something similar, just with more focus on universality and I would like to at least incorporate the multimeter and probe holder.

I'm planning on doing something similar but with internal power supply (that's how i found your vid)...and i really love the side panels and will probably do the same.... Can u tell me what's that variable power module u are using?

Check out ZK-4KX on Aliexpress.com. I also used 8-36V to 12V 10A DC-DC converter from AliExpress for high ampere 12V outlet.

Hello! I want to build a similar robot (Rhex type, similar size, budget constrained), and I was curious about the way in which leg syncing works on your robot. (I did not see absolute encoders anywhere, and was wondering about how you are doing it. Does it have anything to do with the black stripes on the gears ?) Thank you. P.S. The project is awesome !
@MakesCrap Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks! You are correct, there are no abs.encoders. And the black stripes (glued on wedges) is there to sync the rotation. We synced the motors by having a switch at the bottom that is activated once every rotation by the black wedge. Check out 0:49 in the video, i point to the switch. One pulse per rotation. This is ghetto, but it worked. Stepper motors is weak and slow and is not recommended.
@andreiiatagan3820 Жыл бұрын
I was not expecting the response. Using limit switches is a good idea, we are likely to use some as well, if we can’t get absolute hall encoders. For motors we will use brushed gear motors. Thank you and again, the robot is very cool and the camera feed is so smooth.
