The prequel thing was more of atraditional “monster” in how it behaved. I was disappointed, but watching it again i realized the thing hadn’t encountered humans before and didn’t know how to act. By the time it got to the U.S. outpost, it learned how to better blend in with the crew.

I love seeing different peoples takes on how humans would deal with aliens. Because it's when we're compared with others that we get to view ourselves in a different light. Here, we're basically too drunk and rowdy for an intergalactic AI to comprehend. We ticked the boxes for sentience, but we're so illogical that we'll rebel against something good for us just because we're told to do it. It reminded me a bit of the old man standing up against Loki, because history has taught us not to kneel to those that demand it and seek to enslave. We're a stubborn species

How did I miss this!?! Since the 70's this is the first time I've ever seen him showcased actually running fast, with the exception of the opening credits and not in slow motion!

Problem with going back too far in the past is if something goes wrong with your time machine you might not have the resources to fix it. Imagine going back 70,000,000 years and being stuck there, would be interesting though.

The 70's atmosphere is what I love the most. Colombo, The incredible Hulk, Wonder woman, despite the limitations about special effects I think it was the best period for these tv shows 💥

I think the problem with this movie in terms of the Jaegers isn’t so much the weight but the fact that they are so fucking acrobatic when they shouldn’t be some scenes in this movie do kind of show the jaegers having weight to them but all in all it just seems like the way they fight is to fast and really flashy rather than in the first movie where it was brutal and savage because the pilots where fighting to survive while in this movie they just felt like entitled teenagers because that’s essentially what they were
