I wonder if Mia is also listening to Prince on those headphones, they look the same as the ones Vivian has in Pretty Woman. I know there are other easter eggs from Pretty Woman in these movies, maybe thats another one to add to the list

Me re-watching this scene as a 34 year old and realizing this is probably one of the reasons I straightened my naturally curly hair almost every single day up until the last like...year 🙃

I love how they take a pretty girl attempt to make her ugly then make her pretty again and we pretend to be surprised!

This is the message people with curly hair have gotten all our lives. I've been told mine is messy, unprofessional, wild, slutty, hippie. Some of us couldn't even straighten it if we tried, it is too delicate. How insane to assume a person's intelligence, character, ability or habits based on an unalterable physical trait. I suspect it stems from racism, connecting curly hair with Black people, since among White people, straight hair is most prominent in NW Europeans.

What was the matter with her hair? It broke a wooden brush.t hat was alot more than just curly.it was an unmanageable mop.did she take care of her hair at all? It didn't look like it.

So I will translate real quick At 1:20 he tells Helga to give him a hair brush in german But instead of "Bürste Helga" which translates to him ordering Helga to give him the brush, he says "BRÜSTE HELGA" "Brüste" means Boobs At 1:20 this man is saying "HELGA GIVE ME THE BOOBS" You're welcome.

0:58 Now you're not supposed to do this, BUT if you drop their hand over their face their body will make their hand go somewhere else (checking if they have a gag reflex). If you do what he did it shoes nothing other than that they are unconscious or have had a stroke affecting the other side of the brain (right side of the brain controls the left side of the body and the left side controls the right side).

Everyone actually misses the whole point of this scene and the sadness of it, when she looks at herself at 3:22 and is overwhelmed by sadness and upset, she hates that she has to become “someone else” and that her original self wasn’t good enough. It’s actually extremely sad.

Why is beauty understood so narrowly? Is it really impossible to choose a beautiful frame for glasses, leave curls just arrange them a little

😅 I finally understand the comedy in her eye brows being like “Frida Kahlo “ and “Groucho Marx.” At it’s core, I take this as an exaggerated movie scene about how a little grooming really lifts a look. She didn’t make any extreme decisions about cosmetic surgery. She tried a bit of styling, and apparently loved her new look. Even keeping it as a queen.

Came back here because I only just found out that Nikki in 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' is Liz in 'Strictly Ballroom' - the blonde who's always screaming and changing partners, described in the screenplay as "an anglo beauty with a nasally voice".

She was more beautiful before, with curls. And it is outragous to break her glasses after she literally said that she prefered them over contact lenses. I would have fired that guy there and then and made him pay the glasses too.
