Think the bird is a cormorant going by it's neck length and colour, but I'm no expert! Nice one for swimming there.

I went to Prestatyn the hard way ...walked Offa's Dyke up the English Welsh border. A difficult one that as it traverses numerous valleys as opposed to sticking to contour's. The sadistic sod whom devised the route even had you coming down to the sea near Prestatyn before making you climb again and return down hill at the end! Still.... mustn't grumble... Another Helen gem ❤

3:45 It's an alignment/monitoring post. If you look perpendicular across the reservoir from it there's a theodolite mounting point. It checks whether the reservoir bank is sinking 😮

before moving area's I was a regular visitor to Wetherby, Especially in my Student years Weekends would come and I would take my books and sit by the river to study as it was a nice Peaceful area with The Whaler not for so some Good Fish & Chips to be eaten if i could without the Ducks trying to pinch the fish lol

She goes from a different spot to it. But there's 2 carparks on the way up to black hill, if you park in the first you will see a styal. You follow down through some bracken. Don't take the first right fork in the path wait a little. It's not the easiest path but I think it's worth it...on a sunny day 😂

Great video, been around Derwent a few times but never been to the Slippery Stones. Free parking at Derwent Overlook, a 5 minute walk before you get to the visitor centre.

Always nice to be able to eat one's surroundings 😂
