The 2zz can run on 89 if you absolutely have no choice, but you need to keep rpms down under 7k. Get it from a good company like shell. The computer will be able to adjust the timing for 89, but do not put in 87 ever. It Will predetonate and it will damage the engine. Even on 89 you will suffer terrible engine performance because it's a high compression engine. If it was me I wouldn't use less than 91 octane minimum. If you are looking to buy the car and are asking, don't bother, go with the 1zz XR trim. If you already own the XRS, then as I have said, you can use 89 in an emergency.

Man your XRS is mad clean hooly! I just got myself one in Black, its all stock. I’m know what I want it to look visually but I’m trying to do performance mods first. Trying make it a TRD only car but its hard as hell to find Trd parts.

Intake/Exhaust mods or bone stock? I'm looking at a decent low mileage model and saw this video- LOVE the 18's! How does it ride? Doesn't seem too choppy

Bone stock in the video, just finished installing a turbo kit on it so stay tuned for that! The ride is firmer since it’s on coils but it’s expected on cheap coils

Sweet little Matrix, I think you need a front end alignment, steering wheel is off center. Otherwise nice.

All depends on mileage, trim level, area. But usually between $2,000-$4,000 although the XRS is a little more rare to find

My stepdad got lucky and got one for 1800 it has some scratches but it runs great and it passed emission without problems.
