Hello, the run was done quite some time ago. The distance I used probably was about 34-35cm. In this run I used fuel with synthetic oil (Aerosynth and 3% Nitro). This run was not meant to get the motor to max rpm. What fuel and prop size do you use? With a 11x7" prop and correct set up the motor should be able to reach higher rpm in my opinion. Best regards

I have many years of experience with glow motors, I suppose the problem may be in the distance of 38cm, maybe it is too much and I will shorten it to 34 to try. I use a mixture of 18% oil, with 2 to 5% castor oil in it and 5% Nitro. It is the one I use without problem with other glow motors like Rossi, Webra, OPS.. etc. The propeller is the 11x8 wooden one, very light.

@@volksfranzl8894 come supponevo 28 cm sono pochi , e' una distanza per un .40 che gira forte poi. Io ti consiglio se hai modo , di mettere un collettore , e poi inserire la marmitta a risonanza silenziata. Io proverei a 36 / 37 cm di distanza tra candela e punto iniziale di massima ampiezza del cono. Di sicuro migliorano i giri al massimo e il motore farà anche dei passaggi in accelerazione più fluidi. Hello, thanks for your comment. Some information is given in the description (fuel and prop size). The resonance distance is roughly 29 to 30cm. The glow plug is medium ("3" is stamped at the top but I could not find the manufacturer). The pipe is from Graupner and is made for 10ccm engines but in my opinion works good in this combination. When I bought this engine long time ago it was quite a challenge to find a good setup with the standard muffler in the first runs and I thought maybe the carburator is not so good but with the resonance pipe it runs really smooth and the temperature was lower than with the muffler. This setup could reach 14000rpm, I think. Kind regards...

Richtig erkannt 😊. Habe den Motor vor einigen Jahren auf E-bay ersteigert, da weiß man ja nie ganz genau, was man bekommt. Die Lager sind schon deutlich hörbar, weisen allerdings noch nicht so viel Lagerspiel auf, so dass ich mal einen Lauf riskiert habe. Ich werde die Lager sicher bald tauschen. Mir macht es sehr viel Spaß, Motoren wieder Instand zu setzen und zum Laufen zu bringen. Mit meinen OS Max Motoren hatte ich aber in der Regel noch nie Probleme, die laufen meist immer sehr gut.

Der Kopf ist eloxiert. Die schwarze Beschichtung am Gehäuse nicht. Zur Zeit ist ein Webra TN Vergaser montiert, mit dem sich der Motor recht einfach einstellen lässt. In der Regel betreibe ich meine Motoren bevorzugt mit Resonanzrohr und Drucktank (nicht wegen der Leistung sondern wegen der Zuverlässigkeit). Der Motor hat einen L-Kolbenring, die Kompression ist noch recht gut und ich kann den Motor gut "von Hand" starten.

Ich denke mal etwa 14000rpm. Habe leider keinen Drehzahlmesser. War noch nicht ganz vollgas, aber viel kommt da auch nicht mehr. Meine meisten Testläufe mache ich mit Methasynth-Kraftstoff von Graupner bei etwa Nitro, etwa 3%.

Kommt hin! Das schaffen meine auch. Allerdings mit "normalen" Sprit mit 7 bzw. 10% Nitro🤪

Hallo Bruno, ich verbrauche gerade meine Restbestände an Methanol und wollte mal ausprobieren, ob der Betrieb mit Ethanol grundsätzlich auch möglich ist. Ich habe vor vielen Jahren mal einen Methanol er mit Spiritus getestet. Das lief nicht besonders gut, da der Motor einfach nicht rund lief. Bei dem Testlauf mit dem Bioethanol lief der Motor meiner Meinung nach schon rund, brachte aber nicht besonders viel Leistung. Die Methanol-Kraftstoffe, die man im Netz bekommt sind meist für RC Cars und enthalten mir zu viel Nitro. Außerdem möchte ich diverse 2-Takt-Öle ausprobieren, die gut im Netz verfügbar sind und mit Methanol/Ethanol mischbar sind. Für mich war dies lediglich ein kurzer Test, ob es überhaupt funktioniert. Interessiert Dich der Betrieb mit Bioethanol? Hast Du eigene Erfahrungen hiermit oder mit speziellen 2-Takt-Ölen gesammelt?

nein-keine erfahrung mit treibstoffen - bin elektriker. ich suche eine analoge lösung wie der wagen vom gumpert. will entweder mit wasser oder bioethanol auto fahren. alles andere ist quatsch.

Habe mal nach Gumpert geschaut und etwas über Brennstoffzellen gefunden. Meintest Du den? Das ist natürlich ein sehr guter und edler Antrieb. Ich hatte immer mal vor ein Mini-Blockheizkraftwerk zu bauen und mir hierfür einen Verbrenner zurückgelegt, den ich mit Wasserstoff betreiben wollte. Wenn die Abwärme des Motors zum heizen genutzt wird, wäre der schlechte Wirkungsgrad des Motors jetzt auch nicht so hinderlich... Ein System mit einer Brennstoffzellen hat aber auch seinen Charme. Melde Dich mal, wenn Dein Auto fertig wird.

Als ich den OS gekauft hatte, war er in einem Impeller verbaut, habe leider momentan keinen drehzahlfesten Prop. Hatte den Motor in diesem Testlauf maximal auf "Halbgas". Wo gibt es denn geeignete Props?

Ist ein 11x11" Super Nylon Prop von Graupner und nur ein Testlauf gewesen. Drehzahl war so um die 9000rpm. Sprit mit 2-3% Nitro und etwa 20% aerosynth. Motor könnte deutlich mehr..., VG Volker

Yes, that's right. It is quite easy to adjust. Even for engines, which were "difficult" to adjust with the original carb, I got nice results with the dynamix carburator.
