It is saddening that stark illiterates abound in Anambra State. Most of these stark illiterates know next to nothing what development is. Even indiscriminate disposal of refuse in such places like Onitsha and Nnewi are blamed on the Governor at Awka. And you wonder if these stark illiterates have ever been aware of the existence of LGAs. For the avoidance of doubt, Gov. Soludo is doing pretty well given the resources available to him. Unlike other Governors, Prof Soludo has refused to plunge Anambra State into massive borrowing to finance infrastructural development but rather chose to rely on the monthly accruals from FACS account and the State's IGR. I thank him for going down this path.

More effort should be put on beautification of roads, our roads are very dirty, sandy, trash everywhere. Ministry of environment should wake up. These roads needs to be sweep especially in Awka and Onitsha. Go to Akwa Ibom and state cities. Please something need to be done.

Mr. Governor, you are doing great! Please, do we still have a Commissioner for Environment? He seems to be missing in action. One would have expected that he would have proposed and nurtured ideas that would birth areas that would have served as Green Areas/Parks, ensure a sand-free roads, effective waste management system, etc but he seems not to be concerned with the environment. There seems not to be anything in the semblance of beautification going on anywhere in Anambra. The stretch of land leading to the airport is as barren as the Sahara and that is where the investors coming into the state must, first of all, have an on-the-spot assessment of the state's preparedness as a tranquil environment. Unless the kinds of investors we are hoping for are the ones coming by "Young Shall Grow Motors" and "God Is Good Motors" respectively. Most of us seem to be tired of defending why Anambra roads happen to always have this affinity for sands. Either Mr Commissioner is proposing these things and you are stalling his efforts or he is not living up to his responsibilities. Before I forget, every sane society must have certain sculptural works to enhance both its ambience and aesthetics. When are we going to start seeing well beautified round abouts? This kind of Toilet Facility should be built in all Markets in Anambra State. Pay 100 Naira to use the Toilet. Every person can pay that. Even pay for poor people to use the Toilet.
