thought about it for a a split second at the time, but that would've left gaps at the edges and would cause extra port noise at low frequencies

Switched the factory sub of my old Samsung 5.1 HT system with a Mac Audio 250W RMS car sub. It matched the resistance of the factory sub at 4 Ohms. Just hooked it up to the same speaker level output (rated 170W RMS) and it works out of the box. Massive upgrade in the sound department.

Wonder if its possible to make it sound better with a different box, cause it lacks that tightness wonder if it might have to big exhaust diameter or something, I have one of the other logitech 2.1 thx system which is a smaller sub but the «attack» og the bass sound is so much tighter its more of a knocking power to it

They both seem to do the thing where they try to limit the bass but it makes the volume fluctuate sadly Edit: THE BAR ONE DOES IT A LOT MORE EXTREMELY

Late af...but wanted to tell y'all I had just got a new to me keep renegade 2017 with a factory radio which is pretty good for a factory I went to a store called electronics express in the USA online bought 2 pairs of these JBL GX series 6x9s and they are absolutely bangin about the best 6x9s I've had I'm 55 I love trance techno ECT.. I got these for $70 a pair I replaced all 4 door speakers it's really close to having a sub in my jeep excellent speakers for any application....
