Bullshit. This is not banned from mma. All this nonsense. Acting like one martial art is fastly supreme over the other. If a wrester/ grabbler get s one to the group it s over. Like you said. It s is too specific.

A: Hey, did you hear about the chicken that started taking Wing Chun classes? B: No, what happened? A: Well, the chicken mastered all the techniques and became a real kung fu expert. B: That’s hilarious! Did it have a special move? A: Yeah, it’s signature move was called the "Flying Peck!" B: Haha, I bet it was unbeatable in a Wing Chun fight. A: Absolutely! Whenever someone tried to challenge it, they’d end up being "chicken" out!

Bruce Lee was later heavily influenced by Boxing and the principles of Fencing because these styles are based on flexible responses where everything you do is totally spontaneous. If you look at the Long Beach Arena footage from 1967, you can see how fluid his body movements were. Wing Chun, and traditional fighting styles in general, are all based on forms training, and that ruins your ability to react naturally.

Putting fake kung-fu "masters" in the ring with trained fighters doesn't prove anything. Either they are fake or the shittiest masters I have ever seen. Put Jet Li or Donny Yen in there. They are both in their early 60s.

I vividly remember watching Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris back in '72 while stationed at Nellis AFB in Nevada. Bruce was obviously very, very fit 👍 And Chuck, I believe, was in the Olympics or something like that. I didn't have a lot of free time, but remember a little bit that I saw on TV.

After his 1964 fight with Wong Jak Man, Bruce Lee abandoned Wing Chun because he realized that it doesn't work. Why didn't the narrator mention Bruce Lee's run in with Wong Jak Man?
@John_13_359 сағат бұрын
Wing Chun works within certain situations and settings. Mr. Lee felt he was not as conditioned as he needed to be, and that Wing Chun should be blended with other systems to maximize effectiveness in combat. Hence, a Jeet Kun Do was needed.
@wesleysandifer61578 сағат бұрын
Bruce Lee said it had too many fixed positions. He still believed in it's core value. Jeet Kun Do is a highly modified version of wing chun.

@@wesleysandifer6157 I would agree with you that he felt Wing Chun had too many fixed positions, but Bruce later became heavily influenced by Boxing and the principles of Fencing. If you look at the 1967 Long Beach Arena footage where he is sparring with Dan Inosanto, you can see how fluid his body movements were. Everything he did was totally spontaneous. Traditional fighting styles are based on forms training, and that ruins your ability to react naturally.

They always make MMA in UFC fighter seemed like the best fighters in the world Lake Chuck Norris talking s*** karate champion the fact of the matter is I believe the best fighters in the world don't compete in these competitions like Bruce Lee your setup under rules set movement positions strikes in a real fight you don't have any of that people are out to break you or kill you they don't question did I lose a point did I break the rules this whole damn world is flipped backwards on the truth

I used to learn Tai chi for self-defense,but I never had mass sparring like boxing or kickboxing, full contact karate but had pair training. Two Tai chi learners make pair to train. One uses both hands to try to push strongly another away and one another used both hands to try to slip partner’s attack away . I thought it was the sparring in Tai chi style. Anyway I was wondering why Tai chi learners don’t try to spar with boxers or kickboxers.

Steven Segal's discipline is pressure point strikes, joint locks and death blows. No one can defeat him. There is a reason he declined the UFC and other tournaments. IIt is not only bcs his discip[line is too deadly, and the moves he uses not allowed. It is also bcs some do not go to the highest lvl in their sport bcs they do not want to -wind up with death on their hands. Some people don't want to have that troubling them. He has enough $ and even fame. Regardless, Segal is the deadliest, coldest assassin on this planet. And that is why he declines being known as the best fighter. It is out of his respect and love for fellow human. He knows how dadly he is, and does not want to have such a body count lining the streets he must walk each day.

Wing Chun has never been banned in MMA. It simply doesn't work for practitioners without regular sparing experience with people from outside of the system. Classical mess doesn't work! Real world experience and adaptation works. Just about all martial arts have deadly techniques that are banned from MMA so it's no more an excuse for Wing Chun than it is for anything else. Other striking martial arts practitioners also train on being able to stay on their feet or in getting out of ground hold positions when taken down. Wing Chun practitioners could do that as well if they only chose to. They could also focus on the Chin Na arm-locking techniques inherent to Wing Chun and most Chinese systems. In short, it's not Wing Chun that's the actual failure, it's the impractical experience of its practitioners that's the failure.
