I remember this US Open. There were many rain delays that year. Roddick was not affected and had day off between matches. Ferreo, however, had to play 3 conservative days including the final. In the final, Ferreo was exhausted while Roddick was well rested. People were talking about that, but decades later, no one knows any more. I thought there should be a footnote about Roddick's win.

I have great respect for these men as I grew up watching them and they all have a great rapport, BUT it’s alcoholism at its finest! - My father was an alcoholic and he was a monster to me, my sister and my mother - It’s a disease that can tear a family apart - Just saying 😔

It make actors today seem so boring. All this woke shit. They drank and were not ashamed of it. Nothing held back.

Alcoholism isn't funny or clever, for the alcoholics or for the people close to them or the people who rely on them. Phenomenal actors, how sad they wasted so much of their lives on alcohol, and that interviewers who could have asked them about literally any aspects of their lives spent so long encouraging them and the audiences to revel in their drunkenness.

Nice how O'Toole uses 'bar' instead of pub for the U.S. audience ... you can hear him almost saying 'pub' then changing ...

Say what you want about Richard Harris and Peter O'Toole. But they were not terrible men at all. I am fully aware that they were not perfect not even close. But they both had good hearts and loved the people around them. Not all people who have severe addiction problems are as kindhearted as they were.
