Each day, more and more computers get bitlocked in my computer class in school, and the passwords do not work and computers get stuck. I tried doing this by opening terminal on the screen (shift + F10)... it didn't work

Sorry, but the advice you're giving here is worthless. * This setting has not been used since 32-bit versions of Windows XP and Server 2003. * The setting only supported the values 0 and 1. * It controlled whether the OS would use more than 8MB as disk cache, so has no direct impact on boot times. Also, regedit treats numbers as hexadecimal by default. The 512 you entered was treated as 0x512 = 1298. It didn't cause a problem here but mistakes like that can make a system unbootable.

@@pushkarrajput5587 I'm not going to spend my time measuring your placebo effect. If you're absolutely certain that this setting makes a difference, prove it. You need something that acts like a stopwatch. (1) Change this setting back to 0. (2) Reboot 10 times in a row. Start the stopwatch when you first see the spinner at the boot screen and stop as soon as the desktop is shown. Calculate the average time across those 10 reboots. (3) Change the setting to whatever value you think makes the computer boot faster. (4) Repeat step 2. I would be *extremely* surprised if there's any significant difference between the two averages. But if there is, put them in your video description to show how much of an improvement the setting makes.
