It’s funny to see people think of a feature it doesn’t have and complain about that. As if every interface is going to have every single feature an interface could possibly have and at that price point.That’s why you have options in the marketplace people. If it has 16 channels they complain it’s not 32, 2 headphone jacks but it’s crap because they aren’t impedance switchable, it’s rack mountable but it should have been desktop, it has 2 adats but it should have been 3, etc. People acting like they were about to drop money on it and changed their mind because of a missing feature.

Is there any Android-equivalent of Cubasis LE? and are Audient products able to be connected to Android devices?

We do not officially support Android devices I'm afraid so we cannot reccomend their use with Audient interfaces

So, I'm trying to send my Overhead mics through channel 1 & 2 and send both signals into my outboard compressor via the send and return on the interface. Both mics are condensers (Rode m5s), but for some reason I can't get phantom power to come on. It doesn't turn on. Am I doing something wrong? 😏
@AudientworldКүн бұрын
Can I please check if you are using XLR cables to connect the mics to the interface as the iD24 will only send phantom power to XLR's not to 1/4" TRS. If you are still having issues, please send a message to [email protected] so we can help you further

Since you are on the topic of the F keys, here is a feature request: I have the iD24 as my main audio on the computer now (not just for the daw), and I wish I could assign the F keys to other things. Like the mute button on mixes - if I right click those it just works like a regular mouse click. And it seems a bit silly to be able to assign three F keys to a set of six possible actions, when there are dedicated buttons for three of them already. Well, at least you can cover all of them :) I want to use the F keys to mute individual output channels. As I only have one set of monitors, I abuse the Alt monitors to be a "mute monitors". But if I get a second pair, this won't work. For the headset, I have to physically unplug them or use the volume knob. Neither option is ideal. An F key assigned to mute the headset would be good. Those are probably very quick for the software devs to handle, and I doubt I would be the only one who thinks this might actually make the F keys usable.

Quick question, can the Clarity M Stereo be fed with the optical out Spdif Stereo 2 channel out of the Id24 and will it work? It needs to just put out the same signal over spdif as the main monitor outs 1-2
@Audientworld2 күн бұрын
Hello, Yes, the Clarity M can be fed from the optical output. In the iD mixer, you can either set the optical output to Main Mix, which will taken into account the main monitor volume level, or setup a CUE mix to feed the optical output, which allows the Clarity M to meter without the influence of the main volume control.

So why don't you guys build a reduced 2 channel hmx & iron unit (line in & DI), so we could use it as an insert on the iD24 (or iD44)? I am really interested in these circuits, but it seems an overkill to buy a 8 channel box to get these.

I have to plug a mono synth into the interface. Which input should I use. The synth is analog and has only TS jack out. Should keep gain at 0 on the interface?
@Audientworld3 күн бұрын
You would want to plug the Synth into one of the line outputs on the rear of the iD24. Turn the gain to 0 on the interface, unless you do need a little extra level from the synth, but most synths should be plenty loud enough with any additional gain.

When I record audio through my microphone, I notice that the dB levels in my ID software appear much higher compared to what I see in OBS or Audacity-even though I don’t apply any filters. Does anyone know why the dB readings are significantly lower there compared to ID? Any insights or advice would be awesome!
@Audientworld3 күн бұрын
The meters in the iD mixer app should show the same level as your DAW. Please note that the scale to the right of the meter is the scale for the fader and does not correlate to the meter. The value at the bottom of the meter shows the currently input level on that channel.

What about using a desktop ID series interface (such as id4, id14 or id24) to control the functions from ID mixer, then use it like a control room for id48? It would be a killer feature for people like me, who want to expand the system with an ID48 but want to keep the Id14 for mobility and practicality. Please do that. It's really inconvenient to change the volume and settings in a rack unit especially if you use side racks

Hi I wanted to separate my system audio and microphone that I have connected on my id4. When I record in Ableton using 3/4, it records both mic and system audio on both tracks. I thought it would record microphone on one and system audio on another.

Hello, I have a question. Does Audient i14 Mkii provide enough power for dynamic microphones such as shure smyb? Is Dinmaik a good option for microphones? I'm asking for my home studio
@Audientworld8 күн бұрын
It depends on what you are using the SM7B for. For vocals and normal speaking, the iD14 MKII will provide enough gain. If you are doing quieter spoken word passages then you may wish to use a booster, such as a Cloudlifter or FEThead to provide a little extra clean gain to the signal

Why no midi in and out?
@Audientworld8 күн бұрын
A lot of MIDI devices will not handle MIDI over USB rather than using 5-PIN DIN ports, plus dedicated MIDI interfaces can be picked up very cheaply. Therefore, it didn't seem worthwhile to add the additional complexity and cost of MIDI ports to iD48 when many users will not be using them.

I have been trying to figure out if this has a TRS connection so that I can use a patch bay to connect my synth in stereo to the ID4. Or can I just connect my Synth to the Line in XLR inout and change it to stereo? And can I use a 1/4 Inch TRS Stereo Dual 1/4 Inch Y-Splitter Insert Cable on the front input to get stereo input?
@Audientworld9 күн бұрын
I wouldn't recommend the iD4 for this as it only has a Mono Line input and a Mono DI input so it wouldn't be possible to record the synth is stereo. I'd instead recommend the iD14 MKII which does have dual Line inputs which would work great for stereo recording

Seriously Audient you don’t listen to our feedback!Where is power switch on/off?How could you miss that again?I have ID14mkii and ASP800 and as much I love them seriously power switches are must.SSL listened to their customers and they managed to include power in all units.And you are still lagging…it’s a pity.I would be getting this as addition to my set but my choice is new SSL 18 just because it has power like that was no enough conveniently placed at the front-yes it’s possible!

Can you connect the ADAT OUT of the ID24 to an optical IN of a home cinema soundbar (for example) and listen to your recording through there? How do the number of channels of the soundbar would effect the audio coming out?
@Audientworld10 күн бұрын
If the home Cinema sound bar accepts ADAT or S/PDIF then this would be possible. However, a lot of sound bars will only accept DTS surround format audio via optical and the iD48 does not support this. The total channel count will depend on the model of sound bar I'm afraid.

I'm enjoying the ID44, but there's one feature of the monitor control section I really miss - ability to store reference monitoring level. You really should bring this feature to ID48. This device is too awesome to not feature it! Having your reference level at a press of a button is priceless.

I’m hyped for this. I have an id44 mk1, and evo 8. They all have been flawless for me. I was just about to buy and evo 16, but I remembered I bought the mk1 id44 just before NAMM and I sent audient an email and they couldn’t tell me if I should wait so I didn’t. I missed out on the id44 mk2. It’s no hard feelings, I bought the evo 8 for loop back, and it has been a great travel interface. I’m hyped for march.

I found out today, that when your first mic pre doesn't work. It is because you might have a guitar cable plugged in to the jack input on the front. I didn't realize that, so I wanted to share it. Bless

Why are we still using ADAT expansion when it’s limited to 48khz? The analog path is up to 96khz, but not the digital, is that correct?
@Audientworld15 күн бұрын
ADAT will work at 96kHz, it just means that the total number of channels per optical port is reduced to 4 due to how ADAT SMUX works.

Do I really need a USB 3.0 cable and USB 3.0 port when im using USB A? An audio interface only transmits sound, so the speed of a USB 2.0 cable should be completely sufficient?
@Audientworld15 күн бұрын
Using a USB 3.0 port/cable ensures the unit can draw the power it requires (900mA @ 5v) which may not be available on a USB 2.0 port.
