I have a RoadRunner RS5 Max and was going about 40 when I had my first DW. It humbled the rap out of me.the scooter is so heavy I just thought it would never occur to me. Alcohol was involved and of course I had no helmet ugh lol Luckily I did not fall off, just squeezed them brakes and clenched cheeks.

@@Patricia.tejero For sure! you had MAD wobbles. I rewatched that part a few times and it gave me that same fear in my chest lol So the consensus to avoid this is to learn forward when reaching higher speeds and make sure air pressure is on point?

@@JaredOgrodowicz yeah for sure, that was my biggest rookie mistake, i kept moving too much leaning forward and backwards😭 I now wear all the gear i can when going on scooter rides, i don’t wanna risk anything anymore

As someone with a pro that also cleans it inside, I’ve found that dawn power spray or whatever it’s called plus an interior/wheel brush and some microfibers is the best clean you’re going to get. Also prevent you using all those Clorox wipes. Also, just a suggestion, but WD-40 to clean out the suspension and bearings first, then the lubricant makes sure you’re not just embedding dirt. 🛴

About 10 years ago I got a DW coming back from work on my old 1988 Kawasaki. I don't remember what I did to recover other than let go of the throttle and tame it with my arms. It really scared me.

To reduce wobble and high vibrations on the wheels that goes up the stem . It is a good thing to balance the wheels like cars and had 10 grams of lead glued with Shoe glue (rubber glue) opposite of the valve on the rim and a small piece of tuck tape or duck tape over. You will notice a smoother ride at all speed. Also air in tires are very important if you are going to go fast and yes real rubber radial tires is the best for your scooter. They are called PMT Stradale with tube or tubeless. The only brand in the world. No one else make rubber tires for scooters except them. They look like they will wear fast but they are good for at least 4000 km or 2485 miles. Good luck. Happy riding.

death wobble also happens on motorbikes and the theory behind the phenomenon, briefly is bad suspension, which is exactly what all scooters have

@@Patricia.tejero don't go high speeds like that constant it's hard to predict that's all I can say so don't go high speeds all the time that's what causes it same with arrow dynamics from your body helps with death wobbles so yeah that's what I know

Sometimes wobble will happen even at low speed if the road has a defect or when you release the throttle to let it glide. If you shift your weight as well. I go try some speed on the Formula 1 track in Montreal and at one place even at 20 miles per hour the side bump will stimulate the scooter to go wobble . I reached 61 mph and no wobble but I have a steering damper on that scooter that is quite good to hold on wobble. My new Mars XTR has a double stem and the best suspension on the market the BMW motorcycle Telelever system . I only got that scooter 2 weeks ago and could not go try the F1 track since it is closed but I went up to 90 km/hr or 56 mph so far on a bike path and no wobble . Not all scooters have bad suspensions . Good luck and happy riding.
