@@kayt9409 It isn't even a little bit sad. My wedding was the most joyous experience I'd ever had. I've never been to a wedding in the Temple that wasn't beautiful or where the Spirit wasn't very strong. And to become one for all eternity...how could that be sad.

Well I'm actually born of the covenant and here in the philippines, we're not allowed to do that. It states in "For the strength of Youth" pamphlet that we're not allowed to kiss before marriage. Or maybe it depends on culture, I was just shocked seeing them kiss even before getting married, anyway, the church grows with every union and birth.

I may not have been born of the covenant but I've been going to church with my mom all my life. I can see why you're confused because it says in FTSOY, to not participate in passionate kissing. What do they mean with "passionate kissing?" I have no idea, since that's a broad phrase. I'm sure that a short kiss on the lips or a peck on the cheek is not considered passionate kissing, although that's my opinion. Everyone will have their opinion on what's okay and what isn't. And I bet that you have your own opinion of what passionate kissing is! Personally, when I'm in doubt of what is okay and what is not, I think of what I would be comfortable doing in front of my parents.

Also I know of a few LDS couples who don't even wanna kiss before marriage, so it also depends on the couple

You can kiss before marriage for LDS. You can kiss when the Lord gives you the prompting and inspires you. Having the Spirit with you as you date is so important. "For the Strength of the Youth" didn't say anything about kissing. Just don't kiss too early in a relationship like when you are 16. Date with one or two couples in early relationship. Dating should be fun, a date is when a girl and a boy gets to know each other. I know that I will follow 100% of the "For Strength of Youth," to keep me safe and also to have the spirit with me.
