What speed do you get with your Expandacraft outrigger on a canoe?

Around 10 miles per hour when it gets on the plane. Not so much when it weight down with more than 2 people. Basically almost the same performance without the outriggers.

this is cool, been thinking of making a modular fishing pontoon that I can break down. The only problem I see with this for a fishing pontoon is the nose cones are WAY to long. Are you planning to make shorter nose cone?
@ExpandacraftboatsКүн бұрын
The bow is that long for good reason. They are wave piercing, and go through an oncoming wave instead of riding on top of it. Just like large transport catamarans, the long hulls punch through and come out the other side with little pitching movement, that makes them very efficient.
@DBLDREWКүн бұрын
@@Expandacraftboats I figured that was why you made them that long, but I would rather ride over a wave and have more un obstructed space up front vs cutting through a wave. All the lakes I would fish at, huge waves are not anything that I would need to deal with so figured I would ask if you had a smaller option
@ExpandacraftboatsКүн бұрын
@@DBLDREW It will also let you go farther and faster in smoother water, especially if you are using an electric motor.

Quick question, what would be the safe weight capacity of this 21', compared to a 16' and how much does the third pontoon change those numbers?
@ExpandacraftboatsКүн бұрын
the triple 21 displaces 960 lbs at 40% submerged. the 16 is 480 lbs

You would have to make shipping arrangements yourself based on the box sizes. two boxes 13x13x57 inches @ 23 lbs each. And if you want the decking and 6 foot aluminum crosstubes, that box would be 13x6x72 @ 35 lbs.

Love mine. Kayak alone is fishing machine…the outrigger with 2hp Honda motor takes full advantage of the kayak’s capabilities.
@Expandacraftboats20 күн бұрын
Yes, and for some folks with mobility issues, a kayak alone is not an option, this man is going to put a swivel seat on this craft so he can have a normal seating position in which he can easily stand up or get to his gear in the back. A full sized boat isn't an option for him either because of space at his house. Everyone has their own reasons for my kits, glad to see them being enjoyed.

Horrible contraption. That deck is BRIGHT and HOT ! Meanwhile, a 14' jon boat was launched 30 minutes ago and has dry feet with 3 fish in the boat.
@Expandacraftboats25 күн бұрын
3-M makes a non slip pad to stick to the deck which is shiny and new, you can have this rig set up on the trailer and launch just like a Job boat, it's more stable than a Jon boat and you can always use the kayak by itself if you want to get into tight spaces where a Jon boat cant go. To each their own.
