As far as the VOX I just turn it up until the channel is open. I find its better than adjusting it to open when you talk as there is a lot of noise in the SXS
@robkendell
@robkendell 4 ай бұрын
@@ReeceTasker so does the vox work with the noise. I kinda want to have it muted to not hear sxs. I have read that it either stays closed unless you yell or will stay open that amplifies the sxs noise. Kinda defeating the vox option. Thanks again for your reply. 👍

Great video man, I have a 2020 5.0 and am planning on installing raptor suspension and found a very good deal on a lifevalve gen 2 raptor suspension but started researching and found many people saying that the strut towers need to be modified. What do you think should I pull the trigger and buy the shocks?? TIA
@ReeceTasker
@ReeceTasker 4 ай бұрын
The live valve shocks you may regret getting. They are a little soft. BUT, you can do the delete on them and they may be firm enough. I run 39" tires so the increased height stops the tire rubbing in the top of the wheel arch. You can put a complete Gen 1 strut in and that allows you to have a normal ride height on stock 35" Raptor tires and stock spring buckets

Samco hoses are 100% hand made in the united kingdom and are far superior to other hoses (Nice CNC) look at the videos on KZbin of them being hand made in the factory. Most high performance engine builds use samco hoses jeff slavens also has videos on them explaining how good they are!

Enjoyed your review of the 23 300xc. So you know single track… so what’s your opinion of this bike on gnarly stuff? I know it’s not a 300 but is a place to start? I’ve spent a lot of time on a 21 450xcf on mountain single track. This bike looks like a good starting point.

I picked up a 2024 300xc a few weeks ago and i agree on the front end weight. I think the best settings are 5mm fork height, Comfort settings with +2 on compression and 107mm sag. I found the extra sag takes the weight off the front. I'm 185lbs without gear. I tried the mid west lever and took it off as i don't like the engagement feeling.

The bike comes with a 10mm master cylinder for the clutch, changing to a 9mm reduces the clutch effort a lot and gives you a more progressive clutch. All the pro racers I know use 9mm clutch masters

It’s a nice admit jet. For sure the one I have 25200 74V . The bike is nice though . Nice tires but heavy real suspension is good and rear . The rear brake lever super cheap but can change that. You mention the k a few time these are made in china just like the Surrons which I think are very good bikes, especially the ultra bee life is more like a grave bike for ripping around local woods streets whatever.

Great comparison between the bikes! Lots of chatter about the new chassis being much stiffer - did you notice any big difference? Open cartridge XPLOR forks on the 23 vs the all new close cartridge XACT forks on the 24...any more insights into the different characteristics of the new forks?
@ReeceTasker
@ReeceTasker Жыл бұрын
With the new 24 forks adjusted up they feel pretty much the same as the 23. The forks "walk" just as much as the 23 model so I didnt notice any difference with the frame being stiffer. About the only attribute of the 24 over the 23 is the way it turns in the tight stuff, just a bit more nimble
