Are there any other solos that you would recommend that are like this song where the flutist is playing really fast and talking in parts of it? I love this cant get enough of it. I’m new to the flute

Hi there, thanks for your comment! There's a bunch of pieces using there similar contemporary techniques, but I must admit Saariaho's music has a unique touch... You might like Voice (by Takemitsu), Laconisme de l'aile (by Levinas) or L'oiseau blessé (by Québec composer Denis Gougeon). Enjoy!

Great interpretation! I had not heard this arrangement of this Kachaturian work. I don't know if you would like to, but it would be great if you ever recorded a Takemitsu piece. For example, "Air". Greetings from Spain

Hi there, sorry for the late reply! Thank you for your kind words! This Khachaturian transcription is from Rampal, and I did tweak it a bit... Love also Takemitsu's music; I never played Air, only Voice, thanks for the input!

Hello Ariane. I love Saariaho. I have heard this work many times in many different interpretations. I think you play it very well, in a very personal way. It is an interpretation that knows how to take advantage of silences. Greetings from Córdoba (Spain).
