While most of DG’s products are essentials, many aren’t, and the ones that aren’t are higher margin. It sounds like they’re seeing a change in spending behavior, likely mostly stemming from the poor state of the economy, where customers are less likely to buy the non-essentials, and that’s driving the reduction in EPS. I would be more concerned if revenue weren’t still increasing as a whole and per same store. I’d like to see them expand into places like Mexico and potentially even overseas.

Plus for iRobot we just got the shares equity update to promote even more growth. I am continuing my DCA and selling my calls incrementally for a profit to equal out my position even so often, or rolling them out. Best of luck to you my smart friend

You can get Sirius XM cheaper by buying the Liberty Media tracking stock: LSXMK. There is a merger agreement at (8.4 shares of XM ??) for each share of LSXMK. See Barron’s article about BRK pirchases.

I'm not saying they should have but it's also evident of how badly they misjudged where the company would be right now. Removing cannabis as a segment and saying they're not going to put any more money into it make it obvious that they are done with cannabis. Those are much more telling decisions than not exercising the warrants.

Those are some big assumptions and hopes to rely on. Marijuana legalization doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon. The Democrats had full control of the House and Senate, and there was no significant reform. What reason is there to be more optimistic over the next four years?

Then where is the reform? Why is something as simple as safe banking not passed? Why did white house staffers get fired for past pot use?
