But they can still see your videos so a guy is going to my channel and leaving hate about my body type then going to the video that he saw my coment on from another channel like example this comment and replying to me on that channel and being nasty but he still can do that even after i hide him and still see my videos. On every social media platform you can block users whose comments offend/harass you but on YT you can only block ppl from commenting on your channel???? Wow. I don't post videos but what if i don't want to put up with offensive replies to my comments? There's nothing i can do about those, i can't even hide them? Great.

This doesnt block anyone it just stopps you seeing their stuff. They can still see you and comment or reply to your things. It doesnt even remove them as a subscriber this way like you used to be able to do.
