Dangerous caving etiquette on display here! Never go caving in a short-sleeved garment without gloves! The oils of human skin are damaging to the cave environment - one of the most fragile environments out there! Avoid touching the cave with your bare skin at any time and certainly, certainly, do not promote others to enter caves without proper education on cave etiquette! Caving is one of the most exhilarating, rewarding, and unique adventure experiences available, and we should do everything we can to preserve the natural environment and promote a healthy approach to the activity! Be careful out there! Not saying you shouldn't cave, or you are purposefully causing harm. Not intending to imply malicious intent. The video is obviously made with sincere intentions and love. Wish you the best.

Thanks for letting me know. Yeah, I have done some caves in the colorado in full gear, used just to stay dry and warm, and protect my head. This cave that I filmed near Glenwood was one I found while hiking and exploring, so I went in and checked out a little bit. Didn't know about the oil from hands or anything, only about white noise syndrome.

Hey man, are trails still accessible early November? Thanks.
@coloradonativeguide
@coloradonativeguide 19 күн бұрын
They can be, depending on the trail and the year. Certain lower trails maybe mostly snow free like Rainbow lakes, others like Mohawk will be well packed and easy to follow unless you go during a snow storm (always be prepared) and other will probably completely un accessible like Chihuahua lake

Your videos are helping me map out an epic trip for mid October this year. We are hitting Boreas pass and Guanella pass, then the Leadville train. We will hit Breckenridge and Glenwood Springs then down to Maroon Bells. It's going to be remarkably beautiful and we won't have to rush or miss out on anything because of your detailed work. Thank you!

Sounds fun, just to let you know the fall colors in places like Breck and Leadville are peaking right now, so there might be a chance you miss the colors. You may still find some in the lower elevations and farther south in mid October, places like Aspen and Glenwood could still be good around that time. Regardless, the passes will still look pretty.

Been to Longs Peak, four times summited twice. I asked the park rangers all sorts of questions. You don’t need a park pass to enter before 8 AM or whatever the entrance time is you want to start at 4 AM anyways if you were looking to summit you also don’t need a parking pass or permit if you start before 4 AM this was told to me by the Rangers…

Boulder and Colorado Springs are definitely *not* “mountain towns.”
@coloradonativeguide
@coloradonativeguide 2 ай бұрын
No and yes.. yeah they may not be sitting in the mountains, and as someone who lived in the mountains for decades, we referred to anyone from those towns as flat landers, but have giving them a chance in the last few years they sit right at the edge of the mountains and offer more "mountain adventures" than some mountain towns, do, especially for tourists, so I included them.

Not sure why I am bothering to comment now, but I did just see this. Only three of these towns are secluded or hidden. The rest are all well-known, have a water tourist and they’re not secluded. I am so tired of seeing these KZbin videos of “hidden secluded towns in Colorado“ when there’s mostly no such thing. I sure wish KZbinrs would do the research and know what the hell they’re talking about. I have a live in Colorado for 30 years and I have been to every one of these towns except gateway. Good thing you didn’t mention the real interesting hidden towns, so we don’t want others to know about those!
@coloradonativeguide
@coloradonativeguide 2 ай бұрын
Right, this video was made 6 years ago for the tourist. I have updated and better categorized videos now, like the best towns, the best small towns, the most beautiful towns, and a future video coming out on the unheard/unkown towns of Colorado covering some of those lesser known ones even including a couple in Eastern Colorado. Pretty much no touristy ones will be included in that. Plus I have about 100 Colorado videos on there way now, covering almost everything about Colorado
@pamelabassett7778
@pamelabassett7778 2 ай бұрын
@@coloradonativeguide thanks. But as you know, those towns were not secluded or hidden even six years ago. It’s just so strange to me that so many people make videos about the same thing and they include the same towns with the same miss information. I don’t know why that is, don’t know if they need to do better research. I’ve never made a KZbin video but it just is disheartening to read all the same information when not even correct but that’s good if you’re making new and improved videos.
