It qualifies as both: Opportunity because participants were readily available at the mindfulness center. Volunteer because they willingly enrolled into the MBSR programme and subsequently into the study. From the researcher's POV, its primarily opportunity

Is it possible to use self report measure in observation studies??? And is it also possible for designing studies related to interviews or should it only include pure observation and interview

Depends on what you are using the self-report/interview for. For purposes of triangulation, to increase validity, it is alright. But it should not take the place of the primary research method of observation by being given undue importance in the plan.

Hello! For planning the covert observation question if I talked about introducing a control group by befriending instead of covert sensitization besides the experimental group, would this apply to observation or is it more about the experiment?

Control groups are part of experiments. They would not be suitable to observations

PEELC format simply refers to point-evidence-explanation-counterpoint. Hodder textbook follows this format in evaluation throughout. And if you want to knoww about this technique in general, refer to any AQA/Edexcel psychology textbook by professor Flanagan or professor Cardwell
