The SNL cast wouldn’t wait for Chase to leave, and were annoyed he was back. He’d bullied everyone else on the show. They certainly weren’t disappointed he’d gone on to something else.

I remember Logan's Run well but Fantastic Journey did not exist on my earth.
@grrfy3 күн бұрын
fantastic journey sort of fascinated/mesmerised me as a kid, I think part of that was possibly because they were broadcast her in a random order,so became a bit trippy like a fever dream ,nobody here could remember it! haha .Jared Martin and his art garfunkel hair was great, sort of became the haunted face of sci fi for to me a good while .I liked the film of Logans Run, but the really bad car sort of ruined the show for me even back then , still watched it though, as scifi pretty rare on tv back then.

Ah yes. Back in my day, totalitarian repression was to be fought and individuality was celebrated. I'm beginning to realise why old people are so grumpy!

In South Africa,where I grew up we only got to see both series in the mid to late 80's and it was dubbed over in my mother tongue"Afrikaans"It was simulcasted on Radio 2000 .I was fascinated by bothe series.Logan's run was called "Toevlugsoord"(Sanctuary)

I love Irwin Allen's shows but The Invaders was more compelling.

I thought Fantastic Journey was ok but Jared Martin's better series was War of the Worlds , at least the first season.

Action star Michael Biehn (sounds like “bean”), would later star in Grease, but is best known for Terminator and Aliens. Toy company MEGO started production on action figures for Logan’s Run, but halted after the show was canceled. I own the DVD box set and felt it would have been great if had reached three seasons. Fantastic Journey aired on Sunday nights in my area, which was a bad timeslot due to church. I saw the pilot and was excited to see more. The Bermuda Triangle was a big deal thanks to shows that promoted it, like “In Search Of.” But back in the 70’s, it was hard for Sci-Fi shows to get a second season and most didn’t reach enough episodes for syndication.

Casino royale? The critically and audience revered movie that is still one of the absolute most beloved entries in the franchise?
@jeffwenberg43216 күн бұрын
@NealFowler I'm with you! This is exactly what the Bond franchise needed. They tried to go grittier with the Timothy Dalton movies but reverted with the Brosnan movies.

@ me too. I watched it again last summer and I love the visuals but the plot is thin af. If you like Fincher check out his clip for Michael Jackson, Who is it. That video has incredible visuals just like this movie, but in 6 minutes 🤣

Most are interesting. The Day of the Jackel is best. Two-Lane Blacktop is my least favorite, but if you like cars that act with more emotion than James Taylor, you'll love it. It evokes an open road that essentially goes nowhere.

Bruce Dern was the first choice for the film. The filmmakers want him 1-because of his acting skills, 2-Dern usually played the bad guys (and they were going to make the audience think he is playing another bad guy) then (plot twist 1/3 in) he is the hero. Other actors like John Gavin were considered, by the studio executives, but not by the filmmakers. He started shooting the movie without bothering to audition for the part. Dern thought the movie would bomb when he was filming it. But when the movie became a cult classic. He embraced it as his favorite movie of his career.

No this video got it right. Brad Pitt did a horrible job acting in this. He accent doesnt even remotely sound sophisticated enough to capture these ancient times. He sounds like Brad Pitt not Achilles and thats horrible. Brad Pitt is without a doubt carried by his looks his entire career. God awful actor. Leo, Denzel, Rachel Mcadams all would act him off the set
