Hi Relish. My dream is to guve to my mother a radio of the past. Does this player have the shuffle function ? I'd like it was not only the same sequence of mp3. But always a surprise.

I have purchased several of your puzzles for my mother. The first from Amazon, then several more from your website. I showed them all to my mother again this morning (she had done two prior to today) and she was so excited! She picked one out to do this afternoon. I picked a combination of 35 and 63 piece, as she seems to be able to do the 35 in about 90 minutes on her own, and the 63 takes her about three to four hours with me popping in to interact about the pictures and prompt a little if needed. These are a big thumbs up for us!

Man, this company needs to HIRE SOMEONE ELSE to do this; it took me three times to manage to get this paused at the right SECOND to see the puzzle piece size comparison, truly awful presentation. Delete this after you have it remade. Incredibly bad!

Some really harsh comments here. As the son to a Father that is sadly suffering from Alzheimer's, this is the type of thing I'm looking for as he has always loved his music and struggles to listen anymore, which just adds to his decline. Keep up the good work. To others, moan at the major manufacturers for not giving a damn, not a small company for giving it a go.

Hi Luke, we have actually now removed the shuffle functionality from our most recent radios. The ones for sale in the UK now have the version without shuffle, and the ones in the US and Canada should be without shuffle from January 2023.

If your being so thoughtful why is such a basic radio so expensive?? Why you charging people who are trying to help there loved ones in need so much money.. and this radio has issues

Hi Dance, I'm sorry you feel that way - we're a small business and as such we don't get the economies of scale that larger manufacturers can use for savings. Our radio design is from scratch to best suit the needs of those with dementia, which means that it is uniquely manufactured without using 'white label' parts. We unfortunately need to set our prices at a rate that allow us to keep functioning as a business while not foregoing on quality or meaningful functionality. I hope that makes sense.

This has to be the most under rated company ever! I discovered the Aquapaint line and bought it for my Dad with demencia. He absolutely LOVES it and it keeps him busy and happy for hours at a time. Although he has about 30 prints now, he loves the roses the best and paints them over and over again, a feature that is so amazing about this product. Nothing else I have gotten him had held his attention like this. I thank you for this amazing product!! It makes him so happy.

bought this for my mom get it set up spent hours, can only get the memory to work with last station entered, then all 3 settings are then that station

Hello, thanks for your message. I'm sorry to hear this - there could be a reason for this. If you are currently listening to one of your stations (eg, the first button), and while listening you change to another of your stations, but press the button and hold for a little too long then it will change that pre-set channel to what you were listening to. When changing try a short press, so that it doesn't have the chance to change channel. I hope this works.

What a pain that the software has not been developed sufficiently to handle folders. I read a lot of audio books, so this is a big limitation. It's fine as a simple radio, but let's face it - that's all it is. Pity. It is a lot of money to pay for such simplicity. Why has no-one designed a player for mp3 that has a good speaker system with AC/DC, that handles folders and, hopefully, an LCD display? So frustrating!

Hi Relish, I'm here from Techmoan's video about your product. I've just purchased one for an elderly relative arriving tomorrow but I'm a bit concerned about the comments below regarding MP3 functionality. Is it possible to flash a newer firmware to the radio to fix the bug with playback and shuffling? I intend to use both the radio and usb functions on the device so having both work correctly is important to me. I saw in another reply that a revised version has been released, is there any chance the one I've ordered via Amazon will be from this batch? Thanks for your help and for designing a device like this for those who need it.

Hello, and thanks for your question. We've heard the feedback about the MP3 functionality, and have changed the way the songs play for the next batch which should be available on Amazon and our website (where you can get VAT relief) from mid April in the UK. Rather than shuffle, the songs will now play in linear - hopefully that will work better for all. Many regards, Relish

I love this radio for my mother who lives by herself, but one question why does everything for the elderly have to be so expensive? She is on a very tight budget and this price tag is a little steep😕

Hi Patricia, thanks so much for your message, and I hear your concerns. We're a small business - although we're hoping to grow to help as many as possible, we're still unfortunately restricted by low production runs which means a higher manufacturing cost. Also, many mass-products use 'off-the-shelf' design, but this radio has been created from scratch to suit the needs of the elderly and those with dementia, with some fairly unique parts, which need to be produced specifically for us, again contributing to the manufacturing cost. We will continue to work to make the this as affordable as possible for sure! I hope that makes sense.

question.Is this a good radio for elders-period? Does it mean that I can program the radio on the back through the panel? 1-2-3 radio stations? How often does this need to be done? Does this affect the flash drive?

Hello, so sorry for the delay in response. Indeed, we've had great feedback saying that the simplicity of this radio works well for all elders, and also the blind. Yes, you can program the radio and set up your 3 favourite channels at the back (which you can change at any time). Once set up the channels will stay until they are changed. Only the 4th button (My Playlist) plays the USB flash drive, which will not be affected by changing the radio stations.

Hi Geno, so sorry for the delay in reply - the music needs to be loaded onto the USB as individual MP3 files. If they are in folders it won't work. If that fails then please get in contact with [email protected]

So what happened to your listings on Amazon Canada and US? I had these in my cart for a couple of days, at the recommendation of the BSO aiding a relative with dementia, and all of a sudden, they're completely out of stock, with Amazon posting a notice reading "We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." Any chance these products will be made available again in North America? This timing couldn't be worse . . .

Hello, I'm so sorry for the late reply - the Aquapaints should all still be there - sometimes there are glitches on the Amazon platform. @@ActiveMindsCoUK Thanks for the reply. I did notice a couple of sets became available again, so that gave me hope for the one set I'm actually after. Amazon's stock alerts often read a bit ominously when they say they don't know "when or if" this item will be back in stock. Glad to know you're still supplying these.

Relish is aware that the "Shuffle" for mp3 player does not work as intended. They have replied by email to me that they expect the manufacturer to redesign it (in the future). My question is when, in the future, is this known issue expected to be corrected? In fair advertising, I would think your website and promo videos like this one should be forthright in mentioning this flaw for potential consumers considering a purchase at this time.

Hello John, thank you for your comment here and you've reminded me to add a note. Yes, we have had feedback that the current shuffle functionality is not ideal - we are in the process of changing the design to remove the shuffle so that music from the USB plays in the same order. This is due in our next delivery, which will be on sale by April 2022. Many thanks, the Relish team.

How long do the batteries last if it is used for a couple of hours a day please?

Hello, I'm so sorry for the delay in response. Depending on the batteries, it should last 36 hours of play, so if you play at 2 hours a day that should last 18 days.

During this time, maybe it's hard to take care this elderlys...I see some nursing home using wututec analyser to watch and analyze their behaviors without create any pictures or videos. Maybe it can help.
