Colonial Slate

When researching I could not find a name for this creek that sweeps north of an older access road where the Colorado Headwaters sign is located. If you are looking at the sign the unknown creek has a small cascade up the road up the hill to your left behind you and on the north side of the dirt access road and continues behind you - headed west before turning south and flowing under the road (maybe a couple of hundred feet). It continues south about 100 yards or so before it intersects with La Poudre Pass Creek which flows north and empties into the Long Draw Reservoir. Obviously I didn't walk into the taller grass where the sign is but you can tell it's basically just a high water table where the rain/snow water slowly drains into it from the hills/mountains on the east side of the meadow/valley. If you are looking at the sign the water gets slightly deeper as the meadow/valley heads south. My photos show this. If I had more time I would have explored further down the valley where you could probably walk into the bottom of the valley and find - maybe a creek. I didn't see a trail that would take you to it if it exists. Even though Google Maps marks it as a "River" you can't see it from the access road at least anywhere near the Headwaters sign.

They are shingled no cut valleys.

Yes every roof in this video is the Max Def Georgetown Gray. Under certain lighting conditions it can look blueish if it’s in the shade.

It may look cleaner but you must follow the installation instructions plus you can't see it from the ground so why expend the energy when it doesn't affect the performance of the product.

That is not correct. Almost all roofing manufacturer's have had to stop manufacturing around 1/3rd to half of the colors due to material shortages which is all due to a drastic labor shortage. The fact is the government is paying people NOT to work that is the issue here. Your beef should not be with CertainTeed rather the government.

@@scottdennison120459 OC doesn't seem to have any shortages. Neither does GAF. CertainTeed themselves said that they are working off inventory. The didn't say anything about shortages of material or labor.

@@spacecoastz4026 You are incorrect. Drive to your local fast food store or any business and you will see that every employer is having labor issues.

@@scottdennison120459 If they can make shingles in color A, then they can make color B. They are making shingles.

@@spacecoastz4026 You would think so however, that is not the case. What you need to realize is that demand for shingles is far greater than the shingle manufacturers can make and it is the same for their suppliers of raw materials and including contractors. Every level of in every industry is suffering from a lack of labor - people willing to actually work for a living. So, shingle manufacturers are only making the most requested colors. CertainTeed blew through their inventory of the colors they are not currently making back in the spring. Some of the other manufacturer's just recently ran out of the colors that are not among the most requested and have just now started to only manufacturer the most popular colors. I have been a 5 STAR rated roofing company for decades and this has never happened before. What we are all experiencing is a government made shortage. Prices have increased 12% this year and so if you are in the market for a new roof get it now or else as next year prices will be much higher than they are today due to our current governments inability to understand supply and demand or even care about it.
