I play this mod and I have question. Do you find that AI's settlement sometimes only has 1 or 2 unit inside or even unguarded? Because in my campaign that's the case, they always take out most units and leave the city/castle relatively ungarrisoned...

The AI does funny things, but most of the time like me i push my army /troops in groups and i do put troops in citys/castles to defend where i think the othere my attack. but everyone and the AI plays different.. about every time i play a game campaign..

Hi! Is this mod fixing the stupid and unfair AI diplomacy? Or you are the only one who still suffers from reputation changes, and the AI just making allies in seconds with everyone that ever felt any wrong against you? That is my biggest problem with vanilla experience (and of course armies from thin air and bankrupt AI having a party every turn)

Corn, potatoes, mushrooms and water make vegetable stew, level 2 in living off the land and farmer outfit and farmer boots tier 3 with 25 crop plots of each(mushrooms can plant on wall) will give you 20 vegetable stew per day(120 minute day). Gives time to do something else instead of hunting. I was doing bacon and eggs while waiting on tier 4 farmer gear to unlock. Tier 3 farmer gear works, 4 is better.

Cant make cemeteries as it would take over the full map, at the end of the day the game doesn't count nothing against you if you dont make them.. when you get up to 5k 6k there's no point as it would be astronomical the land it would cover..

Your village is to small for this to matter right now, but as you grow, you can assign specific families to specific work buildings. So instead of just clicking the plus minus worker on a work building (such as the logging camp) you go to a villagers home, and under the people tab, there is a little circle with 3 arrows in it. Click on that and you can then click on a work building and that family will be assigned to that building. This is useful in making sure people live close to their work.

@1:07:46 You are a lord! You do not do labor! 😁😁😁 Jokes aside, you can go into the lord view during battle, though you can not participate in the battle. Still, it is a really interesting view of the battle. There does need to be a road nearby though as you can only spawn the lord view on a road. You can walk anywhere, but you have to start on a road. Maybe once the game is more polished, Slavic can make a modal for each of the lord portraits.

Artisanal workshops where historically a part of peoples homes, so this is historically accurate to have the artisan shop on a persons property rather than a separate building.

The planks cost 7 to purchase, but every time you purchase a trade rout, all other trade routs get more expensive to purchase (this is why you shouldn't purchase trade routs that you don't need to). That is why the stone went from 6 to 12 silver. the lack of ox is hurting your plank production and that is hurting your trade.

The Baron is very aggressive in claiming regions in this version of the game. The dev has said he will tone down this aggressiveness in a future patch as it is very common for the baron to claim the whole map before the player can get enough influence to claim even 1 region.

The "give ground" command is a command where a melee unit will take a step back, while maintaining it's formation and facing the enemy. This is done to lure the enemy unit into attacking a center that is backing up making the enemy units vulnerable to your flanking units.

You can get resources by clearing the bandit camps. And you get influence by defeating the bandits themselves. The bandits on the map stay at the bandit camps until they spot an enemy army, then they go out to fight you (or the baron). The baron goes out and fights the bandits and will sometimes clear the camps too, but he will not attack you until all the regions have been claimed.

stone, clay and iron do not renew. So once you mine those deposits they are gone. So you do not want to trade those resources or the things you make from them.

The desired surplus is not the amount you want to sell, it is the amount you want to keep in your inventory, so it will sell down to that number. In your case you had 18 planks in inventory and se the desires surplus to 5, so it will sell 13 planks. You do need to keep someone employed at the trade post or they will never stock it for the merchants to buy it.

You do not need to pay for a trade route for many commodities. the planks are basically free for you to get, are renewable since they are wood and sell for 2 silver each (1 log makes 5 planks). The dedicated trade routes are only required for those commodities that say "Route required" on the far left hand side.

there are 2 types of shields. The regular shield and the large shield. The spearmen unit uses the large shield, while the sidearm units use the regular shield. So your 20 man spear militia is using all your shields. maximum size of a unit is 35 men, so you could expand the size of the spear militia by acquiring another 15 large shields and 15 spears (getting 15 of only 1 of those will not allow you to ad more men to the militia). The archer militia only need the bows, and then you can create an archer unit. 1 unit of spear militia is enough o take on the bandit camps that appear on the map. But the raiders that are coming in 1 year have 4 units so you will need at least 3 units to defeat them. Your militia is stronger then their units so you don't need to match them 1 for 1. But your solitary unit of spear men will not be enough to take on 4 units of raiders. In my first playthrough I met them with 1 unit of spearmen and 1 unit of archers, and they had 1 unit attack my archers, and the other 3 attack my spearmen. It was not enough. The archers can be powerful at range, but are week in melee combat. Archers also can not fire while moving. So you need to make them stop moving right away when the enemy units are spotted otherwise they can get charged and never fire their arrows. The militia come from your own people, so they can not do their jobs while they are musterd.

The tailor needs either linens or yarn to make clothes from. The cobbler makes shoes from the leather (currently the only thing you can make from the leather). You probably want to go bows first, since you don't have the resources to make clothes yet anyway. And a unit of archers will be needed for fighting off that band of raiders when they come in 1 year.

You have enough regional wealth at start to get a second ox and build 2 veggie gardens. Then you can sell planks for 2 silver each at the trader to build more wealth. You do not need to pay for a trade rout to trade timber. It will sell on it's own as long as you have a person employed at the trade post. While 2 silver may not seem like much, remember that 1 log makes 5 planks so each log is worth 10 silver in planks at the trade post.

Horse was a mistake. Horse only works for trader. The ox is needed for all your work. Ox will be your bottleneck

The smithy building only makes tools, which have no use in the game at this time (will be implemented in the future). There is a blacksmith artisan workshop extension available to lvl 2 houses that can make not only tools, but also weapons and armor. Once you are making your own weapons you won't have to import them to equip your army. There is also a bowyer/fletcher artisan shop that makes war bows that you can use to equip an archer militia. The Bowyer/fletcher turns planks into the bows. so you can make them easily and cheaply.

The Sawpit full message is an unexpected behavior. It has 2 inventories. 1 for the planks it makes, and another for the timber it takes in. The timber inventory only has room for 1 log at a times, so every time a log is delivered it says the inventory is full. The Dev is aware of this issue.

When the drop down supply menus stop working, zoom out to the paper map, then zoom back in. That usually fixes the issue.

For the development tree, you are limited to 6 total development points, so you need to choose what you want and not spend any points on things that are not apart of that focus. the development points are region specific however ,so when you claim a new region and build a settlement there ,it will start with no development points and the points that region gets can be spent independently of the current region. Allowing yo to specialize regions. This also applies to things like regional wealth. Each region has it's own independent regional wealth.

The default resource list view is to show the surplus resources, so as soon as a construction is set, the resources for that building are assigned to it and then removed from the surplus supply, even if they are still sitting in the logging camp or storage building. you can change that to a total resource view, but then it may show you have resources that have already been assigned and cause confusion. The campfire symbol in the top bar shows the firewood, so it is listed separately from the rest of the resources.

When laying out the burgage plots, if they are long enough, the plot will have a backyard (this is denoted by a dotted line with a symbol of a house with a hammer in it). These backyard extensions are very important. early game you can have vegetable gardens and chicken coops. The chicken coops provide consistent food every month, but very small amount. The vegetable gardens and the apple orchards are the only extension where the size of the back yard matters in terms of the amount they produce. All others produce the same amount whether the back yard is small or large. Also, when you place the 4th corner, next to the hammer is a button to rotate the facing of the plots, which may change the number of plots in the zone. additionally, on the right hand side, there is a plus and minus button that can reduce the number of burgage plots in the zone making the plots wider. The wider plots may have the option for a second home to be built on the plot that can accommodate a second family. When a house is upgraded to lvl 2, you can build artisan workshops in the backyard extension. When an artisan shop is built, every member of that family is assigned to work at the artisan shop, so that family is removed from the labor pool. additionally, if the plot has a side house, the second family is also assigned to the artisan shop, so keep this in mind when deciding which houses to upgrade to artisan shops when you get there.

I see that I am a few days late to this series, so you may have figured some, or all of this out but, Ox are the only thing that can move felled trees to the logging camp. Ox are the only thing that can move logs to construction sites, and ox are the only thing that can move logs to the sawpit (where planks are made). That means ox are a major bottleneck. Especially early on. Getting a second ox is a major boost to your villages productivity.
