For anybody wondering they cost about $50-$55 for four depending on where you go so once you fill them up about 9 times taking into consideration, the dollar of propane that goes into each one they’ve paid for themselves If you’re an avid camper, you get your money back after two or three camping trips🙂🙂

A warning..... the Coleman tanks are not meant to be refilled. The flame King canisters have a department of transportation number. It's illegal to transport refilled Coleman tanks .
@randywalker2554
@randywalker2554 16 күн бұрын
And.......... The Coleman tanks don't have a valve to vent . And you have to fight to get it half full. You need to freeze the small tanks and heat the big tank..... You don't need to do that with flame King. The video shows how easy it is.

Be careful doing this in the winter, my dad filled one outside and brought it in for the torch to light the pellet stove and after a few hours it was visibly bulging around the sides. Always better to have 4 half full ones than one full one that's gonna explode

If I'm not mistaken those 20 pounders have a safety vent to bleed off vapor if the pressure exceeds the safety setpoint as do all LPG cylinders. The safety is not designed to be in contact with LPG. Just vapor. I wouldn't store the 20 pounder like that (upside down). Disassemble and store right side up.

Like the idea, but a few things I'm worried about. 1, is keeping any propane tank in a cooler bag or any bag, safe ? The smallest leak in a bag like that, you have a bomb ! Gas don't have a chance to dissipate. 2, we all know disposable items are made as cheap as possible. Hell, everything is now. I'd be ok reilling one a few times, but 1# are not made to be refilled. How long until metal fatigue sets in, and one blows ? I'd only refill in a jam, or use a hose and adapter from my 20#. Refilling is a decent idea, but who'sresponsible, who pays the price " when " something goes wrong. Says right on the tanks. Do not refill ! So, not the tank manufacturer. I'm sure there is a liability disclosure with any refill adapter. So they're not liable. Sure... they want you to buy new tanks. But your all missing something. Basic physics ! Propane in liquid form has the same pressure, no matter what size tank it is. So wouldn't the thinner 1# tanks get stressed after repeated refills ? Refillable tanks are made better. They're thicker, have relief valves. My life and my families life is worth more than $8. One or 2 refils, when your in a pinch..., maybe. Otherwise... I'll spend the $8-10 for a new one.
