Awesome video as usual guys. I like making yourshire puddings but my wife keeps insisting on buying the store bought one you just heat up , she usually wins lol. Like the roast gets well done because thats the way the wife likes it lol.Love those little Coleman ovens and the price on them has gone through the roof, bought one last year for $60 last time i checked one for someone asking was $130 ....in a year. Good complaint in a hot tent that its too hot. Lol. Guys that's another thing I like about your channel you keep it real like Rob said about the puddings if they turned out it would be a surprise but if they didn't we would see because it is what it is . Keep the videos coming guys and have an awesome week

I've always wondered how much heat those firelogs would produce on their own. Like if ya threw a couple in before bed would they last for 4-6 hours and at least keep it semi warm through the night? Rob is the Jamie Oliver of the Canadian wilderness!
@pursuitforadventure
@pursuitforadventure 2 күн бұрын
We've used the logs a few times now, and we get about 3hrs of good heat. After that they smolder up until about 6hrs but you don't get much actual heat. Our tent is a 12x12 so if you have a smaller tent, that might make a difference. Jamie Oliver, great comparison! 😅 Thanks for watching 😊

Hi guys! Great video as usual! Just wondered….did y’all get a new wood stove and also wondered how long you got out of those fuel bricks I saw Rob putting in there as the video was ending! We have looked into those as a good long burn for overnight!
@pursuitforadventure
@pursuitforadventure 8 күн бұрын
@redkelly8552 Yes, we got a new Stove 😃. We bought 2 different types of the pre-made logs. The logs that we used don't have any fuel in them. They last about 3hrs
@redkelly8552
@redkelly8552 8 күн бұрын
@ yes they just call them that! They are compressed sawdust I believe! We watched a couple different utube videos on them! They are pretty economical and burn for almost 6 hours
@pursuitforadventure
@pursuitforadventure 8 күн бұрын
@redkelly8552 we've only found the logs that burn up to 4hrs. We get about 3hrs with one of those compressed logs and a bunch of wood that we have cut. Not too bad. Keeps some nice hot coals overnight so the morning the tent heats up pretty fast once it's filled up again.
@redkelly8552
@redkelly8552 8 күн бұрын
@ not sure if you watch Baum Outdoors but he just reviewed a nice pellet burning wood stove that burned for 10 hours with one batch of pellets! The pellets are quite economical also….we looked up the stove and it was not too expensive! If we did this more often it might be the way to go! Was pretty cool!

@pursuitforadventure
@pursuitforadventure 10 күн бұрын
@gittngo it does take up less room, which is great. We haven't used hard wood in it yet because we haven't found any. But with the wood we've found and those "logs' that you can buy that are supposed to last 4hrs, we are getting about 3hrs of good hot heat. We haven't needed to get up during the night yet to add wood. We've been warm enough just with the canvas tent and our sleep system.
