What can I do if the part that opens and conceals the roof doesn’t attach on both sides when closed. It gets attached on the right side however it does not attach on the left side

Having dine this for the first time today, I was surprised at how complex the process was. But now that I see how to do it, it all makes sense and really isn't that crazy. Thanks for the informative video.

My turn signals flash too quickly. Rickytickticktick- I cleaned all ground cable , lamp fittings and so on, to no avail. So I have two questions: A) My 350 SL 1974 (Europe origin, LHD) , does the turn signal relay have round pins or flat pins? B) Is the relay located above the fuse boxes as in this video OR behind the instrument cluster (as I’ve read on multiple places)? TIA for any pointers.

Why add ridiculous irritating intrusive music/noise. Especially at times when we could be hearing the engine instead? Totally Moronic. Take a leaf out of Alain de Cadenet's book

This is terrible. Wie kann man nur? Eine Schande! Da gehört ein richtiger Motor rein! It needs a real engine.

I prefer the 96-98 with the M119 and 5G-Tronic. Of course the SL600 would be #1 were price not a factor, and those prices have gone crazy in the last 2/3 years. With the SL600's low production and rapid acceleration up to and through unreal speeds, I see why.

These videos could be so informative but they just aren’t. Camera angles almost never show any precision for someone who really wants to learn to do a job. A guy loosening a screw with smooth jazz in the background is literally no use to anyone. We need to see exactly where the screw is. Get it together.

Thanks for the video! Unfortunately I inherited a 1975 SL that is somehow missing the entire boot lock cyllinder. The trunk is still locked, battery dead. Any idea how I can get the trunk open so I can install a new lock?

What a completely useless video as you learn nothing. You say that fuel consumption are probably better on later models - quantify it. I know it’s not a sports car (I have one, and lobe it) but try and show it being driven at more than 30mph. You say, older models, have the classic Mercedes “feel” but newer models feel more modern - which is to be expected. Why don’t you mention torque curves and peak power? Also why do you say “what we call distributor caps”. What other term are they known by?
