I lost my Dad to Esophageal Cancer in 2013 after 2 years from being diagnosed with it, at that same time I was dealing with medical issues of my own, I had a massive Heart Attack 3 weeks before he passed away, I was living in Florida at the time and was not released from the doctors to travel but my stepson drove his mother and I 1000 miles to see him, my brother was in town and I was keeping in contact with him on dad's health, he kept telling me each day dad was not doing any better than the day before, on the particular day he passed we were driving to my sisters home which is where my dad was staying because he couldn't take care of himself, hospice was there for the 2 weeks prior to his passing, we were on our way to my sister's home and I kept phoning my brother every 10 minutes and got the same answer that he's not good, on the last text I sent my brother he did not respond to my message, we arrived to my sister's home and I ran to the front door and knocked on it, got inside and saw my brother, I looked at him and I said is he still here, he looked at me and put his head down and looked at the floor, I knew at that time he had infant did pass away, I walked in and saw he had a smile on his face, my brother came to the left side of his bed and took off dads watch he was wearing, he gave it to me and said this is something I think you need to remember him by... To this day I still have that watch, it was a watch my mom got for my dad on their 25th wedding anniversary which was back in 1976, it still works to this day... I miss him every day...

My father passed away suddenly December 2023 weeks before Christmas. He was a sixth generation farmer and a 34 retired captain firefighter. He was everyone’s friend and hero. He passed at the age of 58. My parents knew each other for 50 years and this year 2024 would have been their 40th anniversary

My dad passed in 2017, I remember when I was 8 years old and I stole from a grocery store. Gum balls and they stopped me at the front door and took me upstairs where they called the police and it is evident today that they were trying to scare me and set an example. The police came and handcuffed me took me to jail. When my mom came and picked me up she whooped me pretty good and I won’t go into detail because it was a little excessive but she said if you think that I’m tough on you wait until your dad gets home. I will never forget the loving way he disciplined me. He first came in and set me on my bed, and said you know what you did was wrong? Then he tearing up as he said the words you know I have to discipline you? This is going to hurt me as much as it hurts you. He then took a paddle to my rear end three times. As I was crying he hugged me and said I love you.

I spent a month with my sister before she passed.She said go home I'm not gonna pass on your Birthday don't worry.The day after my birthday the 26th she went into a coma.i called everyday from Florida.No one answered on the 30 th her nurse answered and my sister n law.The nurse said we think she's waiting on her daughter.I said please put the phone up to my sisters ear.I spoke to her telling her I'm coming back it's ok.I heard my sister law screaming she opened her eyes.The nurse said she was waiting for me.i told my sister it was gonna be ok don't worry.I should have never ever said that.She passed on the phone with me..The heartbreak from that as I slid down the wall as she passed waiting for me her sister was devasting.Not one moment has changed for me since then.Just missing her everyday!!!! Heartbroken totally
