Have been in a similar place to where m2k is here. Even though Blur's intentions are good, it's annoying to have someone on you like that to feel better (not that I have a better suggestion). When I am feeling like that, I feel the darkness of humanity and don't think things will ever possibly be better and I don't think I even want them to be better. I just want to feel bad. It's safe to feel bad, to some extent.

Why are the best parts cut out?

Dinner did indeed look great! A lot of nice little touches in this video. I appreciate how you guys not only rolled with the fact that you're making something home-grown and low-budget, but you leaned into it. It made watching this stay fresh because surprising (and enjoyable) moments kept happening with surprising frequency. It really helped make otherwise standard scenes more fun, like when the two friends are calling each other on their banana phones (Raffi reference?), and then having the friend on the other end pop in through the door. Moments like that really kept this fresh. I also appreciated all of the little character breaks and director callouts that you left in the film. Also the dad was surprisingly open about the "male escort thing" if age was the only issue he had with it. I enjoyed how this ended up being you guys recreating a bunch of iconic films, it reminded me of how folks Swede films in a similar fashion, and I enjoyed the way you guys altered the films. I couldn't help but laugh along with you all at Louis Michael Caine accent. After you started doing Batman, I was also hoping you would continue to do strictly Christian Bale films, perhaps it would have been best to put a few movies between those two (not to mention Joker also being Batman related), although his appearance in the credits sequence somehow made me feel retroactively more positive about the placement of those two films together. As you were making fun of Clockwork Orange, I was curious if you were going to cut before the "heated gamer moment" (I think it's a good that you did), and I have to assume that's the moment you guys briefly muted during the after-credits blooper reel. I hope you all took proper precautions with that egg scene. The retching into the toilet seemed to be fairly... convincing. The letter from Hollywood being a quote from Billy Madison felt appropriate considering everything leading up to that moment. Also, judging by the movies your characters recreated, I think you all definitley have a type. By the way I know the exact scene Cass was watching from Reno 911 in the credits. It's when Trudy Weigel is trying to learn French and she ends up almost dying from carbon monoxide poisoning. Perhaps I've watched that show too many times. Anyway, a very enjoyable effort. I think what makes this film work as well as it does is that fact that the premise fully utilizes the slapped-together nature of these "Made During the Oscars" projects. Rather than try to hide it or ignore it, you guys leaned all the way into it, and it works even better as a result. Great work! See you all at the not-Oscars!
