I wasnt there for the first half of The Streak(TM), but this has to be VM at the absolute pinnacle of their powers. The sound, the style, and that swagger were out of this world.

Tony just broke the record for gold medal wins. This video is from 2000. Here he is 24 years later still doing it. And brought his son into the fold along side him. Truly an amazing talent.

Good performance, but I wonder if they know that the song (written by Nat King Cole) is about smoking marijuana? (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

They are beating the war drums yet again, and we should all know by now, the plight of those soldiers who survive. Nothing has changed.

So yesterday in a twin chorus show in Roswell GA, we stood preety much anywhere and made new friends and I looked the basses to my left then the next riser up and Tim Reynolds stood there. I went back 20+years to when I was a British barbershop geek but my legs held me. I mean Tim Reynolds! I should also point out I was casually listening to this and not really focusing how great Riptide were rings the chords in this track. I feel ashamed....LOL

I recall in 1962 my (recently departed) Dad's barbershop quartet in the Apple Valley development near Audubon PA, the Tune Forgers, would rehearse this song. I wonder if there are any surviving members. I remember the bass, a neighbor, drove a 1961 Isetta - one really peculiar-assed automobile!

Wow, many faces I recall from Barbershop quartets one and all. Oh how I miss those days when I could ring the chords with some of you. You probably don't remember a once quartet "The Rose City Slickers" actually made the Friday night cut at a Prelims, and because we didn't expect that placement, we were not prepared for Saturday night. I won't tell you our score as it was horrendous! This I will say...GO PREPARED JUST IN CASE YOU MAKE THE CUT!! We were: Bob Reinecke an amazing tenor, Don Williams a versatile Bass, Ron Johnson a master baritone, and me Lead (they told me I had perfect pitch).

Meh. Not a choir song. So many lost opportunities with these talented people. You could have done better, mr conductor. Good though, conducting a choir isnt an easy job I believe.
