small tip for mpv, you can hit shift + i instead of regular i and that stat window will not dissapear, you can then hit shift i again to get rid of it

i'm looking in the rootfs/bin/X11 and see usb-devices folderorfile and inside that text file at the bottom it has a path of /sys/bus/usb/devices/usb i wonder if its a simple typo, where you have device but maybe ? it should be plural devices i really don't know, just offering ideas

IDK the answer, just starting, but I see elsewhere someone had -device usb-net,netdev=net0 then a \ somewhere around here but he also has -dtb bcm i have no idea what that is He was a presenter at an OpenSource discussion, and after website slidescom vipulgupta2048/osseu2023-qemu/#/9/3 is the slide show he used in the presentation The YT channel is The Linux Foundation and video titled Let's Build Our Own Virtual RaspberryPi Using QEMU Virtualization - Vipul Gupta, balena was a lot of talk, but perhaps there is some new information in there you might use ?

I'm having a headache with my vivobook. I used to run pop!_os for a while, then decided to start distrohopping. But then, it got to a point where all distro installations were failing (could still run it, but there were many bugs),. Are you supposed to update ghe the firmware? If so how? Mine is an x1605zac, with intel i5-12500H

My Asus VivoBook 16x M7600QE OLED laptop originally had Windows 11 installed. After switching to Arch Linux with the KDE environment, I encountered serious problems with Bluetooth operation. The headphone connection has become unstable, and the sound quality has deteriorated significantly. Similar failures were observed when testing Fedora and Debian. Attempts at a solution: - Disabling fastboot mode in the BIOS did not give results - The complete removal of Windows 11 also did not fix the situation My assumptions: Perhaps Linux somehow affects the firmware of the Bluetooth module, which leads to problems even when returning to Windows. Interestingly, there were no such difficulties a year ago. As a result, I left only Arch Linux on the laptop, but the Bluetooth problem remains unresolved.

IF you have MediaTek adapter try switch the card to Intel AX210 WiFi6E one , then try manjaro kde pipewire works good there , if you are BT sound lover i can recommend you to get creative bt-w5 adapter it will work as usb sound card.

Even M3 has better single thread backed up by SPEC2017int-fp. Actually 16inch M3max almost matches a stock 14900K in 100% load multi thread loads, again SPEC2017. Geekbench6 is fairly accurate, Cinebench is dogshit. M4 vanilla is ahead of any 14900KS even those clocked close to 7ghz *ST

Can you try and use the iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS as it can utilize a wider frequency range than MacPro 7,1 and please enable the E-Cores and use the CPUTopologyRebuild.kext with the boot arg and then I get 3300 in single core (undervolted and slight overclock) and 20800 in Mutlicore

The npu test is icluded in cpu instead of gpu bound test. See other benchmarks perfomed.. this minor change lopsided the score😅

Bro, base m2 faster than 12900k. And 14900k is only %20 faster than base m2. Now scale this to m2 pro m2 max and m2 ultra. Then scale to m3 series. Finally, imagine m4 pro m4 max and m4 ultra. Intel scamming everyone in the world. Their only buyable chip will be released 2 years later. Because they just bought machines for 2nm process.

Raw performance M4 10c is beyond r9 5900X in MT and by far the fastest ST chip. Not one commercial benchmark except SPEC2017 and maybe geekbench6 will reflect M4 performance as non of those benchmarks apply armv9x instructions

Given the little change in architecture, M4 is basically an M3 but with 38TOPS. Apple probably knew/saw that AMD, Intel and Snapdragon were implementing much faster NPUs of what they had so they slapped one in it. But M4 is obviously not as fast as a high-end desktop chip, it is only faster in AI since NPUs are only in mobile SKUs at this point in time.

@@mr.iot-tech278 yes, but you do understand that the 14th gen from intel and 7xxx series from AMD do not have an NPU, quite unfair. A comparison with a new gen mobile chip from either companies would be more interesting given that both would be targeted at the mobile market and both would have an NPU

@@lelelechko Wi-Fi works on linux is depend what kernel version you use and did you update your Mediatek firmware :) ofc you can install Intel Wi-Fi6 card

@@mr.iot-tech278 I used latest ubuntu 24.04 and it was not compatible with mediatek network card as mediatek doesn't write drivers for linux derived operation systems. Replacing it with intel wifi6 network card solved the issue

@@lelelechko i did had same mediatek card and they worked i only had to update firmware back in time.But intel variant is better for sure. Next time try Manjaro is better than ubuntu and will work by default :)

Running with no issues minus the caps lock delaying on my keyboard other than that it does help extend your computers lifespan and lets you use it for a lifetime I got a Windows 7 emachine for retro vibing I'm done with Windows 10 and newer versions of Windows I'll switch to a Linux if I have to escape the wrath of MIcrosoft.
