Joe rocks...is this one general mic or do you have multiple mikes on your kit and going to a sound board. Thanks Joe.
@JoetheDrummer47912 ай бұрын
Welllllllllll. Finally. Someone asked me. ~cracks knuckles Every single one of my videos uses the Glynn Johns method. 4 mics catch this entire kit. Beta 52 on the Kick Sm57 on the snare AKG C414 40” above the snare AKG c414 on the floor Tom side. Also 40” away pointed at the center of the snare. Making an equilateral triangle. High pass everything below 60jz and each mic is eq’d like the kick drum mic. With compression, gates on the kick and snare. And 3:1 compression on the master fader. And that’s it
@JoetheDrummer47912 ай бұрын
This is also how they would mic John Bonham, Nick Mason. The Beatles. Too many to name

@@noahman27 I’m doing everything myself. So if something charges. I fix it. It’s a bad habit The idea behind the drum covers project is to inspire everyone. A lot of drummers have messaged me saying that NAMM chops videos made them want to quit But these videos inspired them. Like ooops. I dropped a stick. So what? It’s going to happen. So I leave it all in. Warts and all Sound tweaks also
