This man is a hero! Don’t need me to say so. Sentimental favourite as ‘Running Away’ was one of the first pieces of music I heard on a high end hi- fi system. This is the real stuff. A magic time.

How did you manage to create a visual display that reacts to the audio stream?

If you really want to get, "lost in the sauce" though I would using TouchDesigner. There's a lot of, "visual signal processing" you can do and it's fairly intuitive.

A goal I've had is to do something where using a camera you'd be able to, "touch manipulate" the sound wave while it is, "vibrating." I can do it with a WiiMote but with ML or something you could probably not have to use devices or IR pens.

Thanks! It's actually a result of my phone/Twitch deciding to go into lo-res mode for reasons that I can't completely ascertain. I'm going to do more involved Edutainment modules in the near future; my hope is that they can be well-composed and spontaneous enough to create a positive impact on the local arts-education culture.

That's the neat thing about microtonal scales. There is a real chance that you will hit upon a harmony or musical idea that has never existed in recorded music before.

Hello. I bought a wx5 but I didint buy the VL70 I boght the Roland xv 2020. And I would like about tuning. If I want change the tune for 440 or 442, How Can I do? The tune is in the Wx5 or in the module? Thanks.
@HubIsOnYT
@HubIsOnYT 8 жыл бұрын
+Frederico Chilio Fred Hey dude, a true pitch bend will need to be done in the synth (roland) because the WX5, as a midi controller, only maps the key presses and pressure dynamics to midi data. You want to find the "Master Tune" settings in the "System Common" area of the VX2020; don't get lost inside an individual patch; you want to affect all tones, so that is outside the envelopes for individual sounds. -Hope this helps, -G (PS the VX2020 can be detuned between 415 and 466 hz on key A4)

This is such an atrocious review. You used all fucking pads! You might as well've just pressed a bunch of keys at full velocity...totally useless. All this review boiled down to was simply "Ooh lets hear some factory presets from a synth that lazy ass producers buy for its factory presets!". And bit of a pretentious move, posting a title in third person...oh really, is it Kai? Kai's back at it again, huh?? Oh joy!!!

Hi what program are you using? (tone generator software for wx5)
@skengasaurus
@skengasaurus 8 жыл бұрын
+silence ever (monkey) He's using stupid-ass Omnisphere...perfect if you have zero technical skills and creativity; talentless "producers" buy it for the reason they buy all plugins...for the factory presets. So if you're a lazy hack, go nuts! Or if you instead want a good-sounding device with insane creative possibility...buy Reaktor, Diva, Basille, Absynth, Rob Papen Blue, Iris, Massive, etc...

Vanessa: Seems that you somehow produce a transpose command to your tone generator. Right now I can't find that the wx5 has any feature to make that even if I would expect one. But of course it depends on your tone generator too. Do you happen to use any pedal to your tone generator? And would you tell what tone generator you actually use? Any synth box, computer program or keyboard synth?

Thank you kindly! I was trying to make music that had the qualities and freedom of jazz; but that wasn't, "jazzy." A quote from the sleeve of a great record I listened to recently: "Once again we're reminded that Jazz is a form of Folk music." (^_^)
