I loved this and asked a Gerrman friend of mine to translate. He quickly tapped out the following that you might find useful, 0:20 - Kikentai ichi is done in two ways one with the front foot striking the floor or the back foot coming up. 0:33 - So we are going to start by doing it with pulling our back leg up which means you have to pull the back leg up quickly 0:47 - The left hand not like this (having the hand wide to the left) but from above bring it down. 1:06 - The uncertainity in your strike is for a lot of you due to trying to break (slow down) the cut so that is stops here (men height). 1:20 - Try and pull through and if it goes beside its easy to bring it back up. (Rotation of arm and wrist) 1:30 - try and make sure you pull through try and not slow down the cut. 1:42 - Okay next step. Now have the second hand. Same as before cut on the back foot. Don’t make quite kiai if something import exists with jodan then its the kiai. In shiai kiai. Its about putting fear in your opponent about giving yourself courage and at the end its a breathing technique. But its important that you have kiai with it. 2:30 - So left leg forward in jodan kamae. Left hand over left eye. Optimally have over right eye. Stand straight. 2:52 - and with the right hand. and with the right hand move the tip. Its no longer the case of striking with one hand. 3:10 - How long do you squeeze with the thumb? Pardon? How long do you squeeze with the thumb? Until i think its enough! I don’t know its hard to say some people do jodan where you can take the right hand away and they can strike. This is the motion for men-uchi and somewhere in between you can accelerate and bring the tip to the front. 3:50 - Actually ketate technique with jodan are not real ketate technique are actually morote technique (two handed) the zanshin and the strike are one handed but then its already eaten in princple (i cant think of a good translation sorta like the deed is already done by that point) 4:10 - The whole time we keep talking about specific basics which naturally is quite important for jodan or actually with every kamae very important. Lastly what is important is the tanden Its the point between the bellybutton and your gender organs. Where by men at least in the past there where to points and try and push against the tare. Yeah have a go try and push it against the tare. 4:48 - It is important that you think about how you try your armour on. The state of your equipment and how you put the armour on is import for a well-being and fun in kendo if you continuously have to adjust then it makes kendo no fun. So you have to try and continuously and constant pressure building. This allows your centre of gravity to be lower, to loose it out of the shoulders and arrives in the hips. 5:30 - The deeper centre of gravity provides that your posture is more stable and straight. The straight posture you have your ears in line with your shoulders. (Demonstrates bad head forward) 5:43 - This is always in the concentration one can quickly come to the wrong path so stay straight. 4:45 - In Jodan size is important straight posture you should always make sure that your are looking down to people no matter how tall they are or how small you are. Always have this perspective. 6:05 - The next point is to run (go) through and with proper fumikomi. Remember that everything is down the middle for the strike. Right hand to hear and left hand stays in the middle this is very important. 6:30 - So please just easily (demonstrates men cut and zanshin). Yes so forwards. Try not to (is leaning forward) try and really over the hips to move you forward.

yes for nito in shiai you have to use 3.7 shaku length for daito. but matthew raymond seemed to be using a 3.9 at this seminar.
