Heyyy Abhishek, I met an old photographer 20 days ago, he did some amazing work here in kashi like 20-25years ago. He told me at that time if you get spotted with a camera on the ghats, a gang of people come to harass you & ask for बख्शीश or you would have to take permission. Is that still the case there? Because I'm planning to visit next month. It would be really helpful if you can confirm this. Thanks. 🙏

Abhishek, it takes a lot of courage to make yourself vulnerable in public. I commend you for that. I think if we look for our identity and self-esteem in our achievements then sooner or later we are going to be disappointed. Of course, we all want to be loved and appreciated but it's good to pause and ask 'where does my identity lie?' in our achievements? Hi Abhishek, I bumped into your video by chance. Your images not only documented life there but have a lot of emotions in them. Life in Varanasi always seems to be overwhelming. I was there about 50 years ago but as I watched your street scenes I could almost smell the streets. I think, for me, the most striking thing about your images is your mindset with which you documented life there. Thanks for sharing these.

Whenever Foreign tourists do street photography mostly poverty in india is highlighted and never any progress and development here is shown. Try to cover both in a realistic manner and channel will automatically become popular

I fell in love with a camera about 8 years ago specially a canon EOS 300D, that's the die i decided this is what I want to, few cameras, thousands of photos and big hole in my pockets later, i still looking back and realise it was the best I did.

I first picked up a camera (seriously) 25 years ago and I'm struggling to remember why. It might have been that it was out of simple curiosity. That I liked the light or composition of what I was seeing. I'm definitely still like that. But if I'm being honest with myself, I get more than a little frustrated that I can't get my work in front of more people.

God, I just love India. One of my favorite places and people on earth. I’ve been blessed to have been there a number times. North to South, it’s a magnificent place to shoot.
