What a total waste of suppressant. This is why our taxes are so high. Government just spending money for no good reason.

Funnily enough the same word is used in some languages to describe both: Échelle meaning both Scale and Ladder in French. (Scale in the same sense you used it, not the weighting scale that we call a Balance instead). And speaking of Balance we say Équilibre instead when it's not about the weighting scales.

Took 4 minutes from initiation of door closure to full floor coverage to snuff out a fuel spill fire. Not bad, but during that 4 minutes all the aircraft aluminum and polyurethane or acrylic fuselage paint has been established and will laugh at any foam that tries to smother it. This system needs a second attack vector, such as rapid chill using a cryogenic agent such as CO2 or Nitrogen fog.

We actually had these deploy at an air park I work at, they have small offices inside the hangar and the employee thought it was a drill and finished sending off some last minute emails. By the time he was done the entire hangar was filled and he ended up running into the foam and suffocated to death.
