In fairness to this particular sister, she did try to warn Lizzy off of Wickham. Lizzy saw it as interference, but really, Caroline had nothing to gain from such a warning.

I think the Mr. Darcy actor in 1995 is esteemed so much more highly just because he seems to have more depth of feeling... but it really is subjective... honestly the show in general is not as authentic

I've been thinking how rich it is that Darcy and the Bingley sisters say the Bennets are a tacky family when their own families are so obnoxious (Lady Catherine, the Bingley sisters and the always-drunk Bingley brother-in-law). the humor in this story is so multifaceted. 😅

It’s a GOOD adaptation of the stage play. I like it a lot. One of my favorites. It’s a poor adaptation of the book. I do like that Edmond had to confront Mondego. I wish more of the fight had been included. It was too short.

Agreed! For me, there was about a gap of ten years between reading the book and watching the movie, so I was able to enjoy it with relatively fresh eyes. But, man, it is a helluva book!
